Got Gold in that damned mission on my own this time. I did have to Restart from Checkpoint so it wouldn’t turn the wrong damned direction at the start, but I did not use the exploit to start the run close to the destination.

So after several really easy ones related to Pronghorn Ranch and Beecher's Hope, the difficulty shot WAY up to seemingly Insane levels (Though the mission where you find Charles boxing in Saint Denis was a tad annoying).
The one where you attack the Canyon with Sadie has to be done in 5 minutes - AFTER THE 6 MINUTE HORSE RIDE THERE, AND You Have to kill Every Enemy in the mostly-on-rails horseride out through the narrow windy canyon. I thought killing every enemy while fleeing in the canyon was going to be insane, but it is pretty doable if you have minimap on. I also had to turn on aim assist to get through the first attack of the canyon quickly though. Getting through the attack of the canyon (perhaps the actual trickier part) and then the on-rails escape in 5 minutes is pretty rough. and again, that's AFTER 6 MINUTE FUCKING HORSE RIDE JUST TO GET THERE!
I might leave the minimap on for the next one because you have to headshot all the Skinner Brothers that are up in the trees. (will they even show up on the minimap? lol)
I'm not looking forward to Uncle's Bad Day and what's required for it because that ones already really tough normally.

It's not really a ghost and is just the usual blinking supposedly dead NPC/corpse, but apparently this interaction shows up as the 3rd interaction at Watson's Cabin, and yet I've never had it / even noticed it?  |

Uncle's Bad Day was much shorter than I thought it was, but it became a major pain in the ass because you needed to figure out what you needed to do, AND what NOT to do to escape within the time limit. You actually don't want to bother killing too many people while Charles and Uncle are about to get on their horse. It wastes time and hopefully won't kill them. But made even 1000 times worse is it kept getting stuck Inifinite Loading  I hope that's not a sign of increasing issues. If there's another Skinner Brothers mission I was mixing it up with after it, it'll be harder still I'm sure.
And btw, one of the bad guys you meet at Pronghorn Ranch that sounds like Trevor's voice actor is not Trevor's voice actor. (apparently)

Looks like there isn't another Skinner mission after Uncle's Bad Day. Strange, because I Clearly remember a really difficult fight with the Skinners in Tall Trees. Maybe a Stranger Mission? which you annoyingly can't replay.
After a couple easy ones, the last one is of course where you go up Mount Hagan for Micah (and Dutch). THANK FUCK There's No Time Limit! You pretty much only have to care about accuracy.... and not dying AND not using health cures (as usual). But not dying in this one is quite tough. I also don't know if I'll have enough Dead Eye without looting bodies.

Got stuck with infinite loading again while trying to restart the last mission.
After the initial ride and chasing down and hanging Micah's goon the first thing you meet on Mount Hagan is the 1-shotting sniper that shoots Charles. Ugh. Have to figure out how to headshot him without dying. I mean I've done it before just gotta figure out how to do it again.

I CANNOT LOAD THE LAST MISSION AT ALL ANYMORE! I'VE CLEARED THE CACHE, REBUILT THE DATABASE AND COMPLETELY REINSTALLED THE GAME AND THE MISSION WILL NOT LOAD!!!!!

Oh THANK FUCK, I Finally found someone who figured out what would actually fix it. Turns out it's an issue that happens to the Autosave that is specific for whatever Mission it happens with. All you have to do is make sure you ride around a bit and get the Autosave alert that happens normally and it'll fix it.
I now how ALL Mission Golds on my first playthrough.
I'll probably never get the damned missing Lion's Paw Trinket that disappeared on this save, the 1 thing missing in my Compendium, but I did get it on my 2nd playthrough. But I'm never going to complete a Compendium again, so.... no full one. I'm likely to never mod the save to fix it, and the only way on PS4 is buying a program for $50 to unencrypt and encrypt the save.
Crap, I want to start Online, but unfortunately I'd rather not start it in the middle / near the end of the Halloween event.

Well, I've Finally started my Read Dead Online journey.
I'm surprised at how non-flashy/spectacle it is I guess? (idk Maybe I don't mean that.)
But there's already been SEVERAL instances of goofiness out of nowhere you weren't expecting, in the story cutscenes.
And it also took me a while to figure out why this one Really annoying guy is around so much. I don't know if he'll continue to be around a lot (or maybe it's this mission chain). He's really annoying.
They also shifted some things (gameplay mechanics), making them more obscure, when they were blatantly obvious in Single Player. (At least it was an odd choice for the beginning?)
Of course the first person I came across - a little later along than I expected - shot me. He was directly along the road between Macfarlane Ranch and the cliff down to the desert. You actually start off in New Austin and your "first camp" is in that culdesac above the mine? But your camps disappear automatically for some reason, idk why. I haven't even bothered spawning a new one though, though I've seen several other camps with nobody around at the time.
UNFORTUNATELY.... I don't know how normal this is, or if it's "My End", but I've been getting disconnects which often end up being at really bad times. The first one may have still felt the worst because it was right before I hit Confirm on my character customization. My frustrated remake isn't quite as good / carefully done. I've also had several in the disconnects in missions, including at least one right at the damned end. But as I always tend to wonder with disconnects that don't seem to happen at specific moments is - Is it happening at a set interval? And yes it may be. It may be happening for me (today) once an hour at ##:23 every time. But I've only confirmed that once so far? I REALLY hope it doesn't keep doing that..........
Maybe I actually should have expected it in hindsight, but there are A LOT of couples (seemingly) playing this game. Like clearly. I've been matchmade with a guy and a girl that were clearly playing together more missions than not? But SO many disconnects, even for them though. (So hopefully it's not just me? And Hopefully Rockstar gets their shit together, but probably not since they've just about abandoned it for good (most likely)) - but are still doing telegram missions and XP bonuses... yipee

Well, after finding no working solutions anywhere, I finally figured out where my hourly disconnection issue was happening, but not why.
It disconnects from RDO hourly (supposedly saying "no internet connection") on my 5GHz, but not my 2.4GHz Wifi. What's weird is that I don't seem to have this issue with other games on my PS5 on my 5GHz.
My DHCP is not set to hourly. Nothing was coming up in the logs at the time it disconnects from RDO. But what I did finally check and notice is that my 2.4GHz is set to specific channel while I had left my 5GHz on Automatic. Maybe it polls for a channel ever hour? I'm gonna set 5GHz to specific channel and see if it gets rid of the problem there. (How much you want to bet it won't?) At least I can play with 2.4GHz? (Until the R* Servers just crash anyways like they just did) But I'd have to remember to set it to 5GHz if I want to stream a game from my PS5.

 Btw, (i already mentioned this before, but) there's also a Watch company in Saint Denis called JB Brownlee - the Sun Worshipper. I am wondering if Sinclair would have had a connection to both the Toy Store and Brownlee. Maybe. Maybe not. |
