Yeah RDR online (1) was pretty cool actually (especially riding into town and sitting down at a table to play poker with friends and NPC - seamless transition - was fun, you could even shoot the NPCs at the table if you wanted), and Nightmare online was spooky and fun (mostly horde mode basically as I recall, but I could be wrong)

I guess it makes sense that Dan Houser is doing this now, if it's less likely to come with the disappointment of the stuff cut/trimmed off the end/edges of game development

It's still so crazy to watch this and that it was made before RDR2

In the last sale I bought the PS4 version of RDR1. I just played through Undead Nightmare story. It was good and played well, and really looked amazing still as you say. Thinking I'll find the time to actually replay RDR story too.

I was thinking more the story and acting, and again story. At first It ALMOST makes you surprised that the story of the prequel wasn't made first. but if you analyze it more that , yeah, of course the story of the got more time to cook for the prequel. Scenes in RDR1 ALMOST seem like reverse (cheeky) fan service, but wasn't made after, but before. Even so it feels / "seems" so much like there was so much story to the background of the characters of 1, that How the hell did it get made first?
But again, 2-prequel obviously automatically gave that story/history more time to cook.
The most obvious "fan servicy" (or probably more self-servicy to Dan who probably wrote it?) was Dutch's reference to "gravity" when he jumps off the cliff in the prequel AND the first game. Yet the word "gravity" is almost / is really easily missed in the first game before he jumps off the cliff to his death. Almost like Dan was like "HA! LOOK WHAT I DID HERE! YOU GET IT!"

Oh, gotcha. Yeah the story and voice acting are still amazing. I get what you mean about the connections of the two games too. Playing Undead at this time in the US is kind of crazy as, the social commentary (as I take it) - blaming immigrants, etc. I know that's always been there, but there was a few times I was like, the actual lines of the story felt somehow poignant to today's rhetoric from the right.
