Just bought a Switch after all these years. My son's been interested in Mario because of the movie. Then he had the chance to try a switch and liked it, wound up getting him one as he has some time recuperating from a surgery so I figured why not. I've been trying BOTW but I'm stuck early on with what to do lol.

My sister got BOTW years ago in a rare discount but I guess quickly fell off of it and felt completely lost trying to return to it. She got into Animal Crossing when that happened and also got that new Disney Animal Crossing game, but already isn't actually that interested in it. I don't think she'll play it much longer. But she seems to still be into Kena (I think?). Though with some possible complaints, she felt somewhat less lost in it. I guess she needs something smaller than BOTW.

WHAT Is this legit or did they get hacked like Retroarch?
If it is legit, which it seems like it is, I wonder if Nintendo will take it down.
Unfortunately, performance is (at least currently) all over the place, even with the S23. 60 for 2D and older rereleases (excluding Skyrim) Barely over 30 for MK. 50-ish for Odyssey. 20 for BoTW. 
I'm still kind of baffled that MK runs at 60 on the Switch. Or Odyssey for that matter. But unsurprisingly BoTW's native is 30. I assume Smash is native 60. You need to keep these in mind because how the game will actually run is based on (relative to) their native framerate. You're (probably?) not going to have a good time playing MK below 60 even if it's above 30. [And the audio will probably tell you that.]
CTR on the otherhand is native 30. [even though the performance is pretty ass on the Switch itself.] Idk what the Android/Phone performance is, but you'd have a good time above 30.

Supposedly the Switch 2 maybe coming next year won't have an OLED screen to keep costs down. If that's true..... I wouldn't be surprised if they do both.
