Seriously though, some people are bringing it up on Discord again. The Engine for "VBS4" Literally Has to be Outerra or made by someone who previously made Outerra. Besides mild improvements and different textures, *everything* is practically identical. vbs4.com/ |

Well now the situation gets even more odd/interesting/confusing. The Current/New CEO of Microprose, who is publishing Outerra Sandbox, was formerly the head of Bohemia Interactive's BISim... which makes VBS. (don't know why BISim and VBS are 2 different names). VBS4 Military Sim already looks to be using Outerra but still nobody will admit it. And now the old head of that is CEO (and relaunched?) Microprose and is publishing Outerra Sandbox. I mean I guess it makes sense BI pretty much sticks with Military, but then again so did Microprose (Air and Naval combat anyways).
OH. That guy also was also the guy who made TitanIM, an actual Sim for the Military, and still only for that use, which has seemingly fallen into the background.

Also that Outerra Steam "Early Access" is coming in the next 6 months. sure.
