As I was kind of hoping for (though... didn't necessarily need since I own and still have Windows 8.1 installed on another partition, which I got when it was originally $40), Windows 10 testers are going to be able to go straight to full Windows 10 upon release. I know I'm technically supposed (or maybe even should) do a fresh install, but I'm not too worried. My Steam folder, as well as most of my current games are on this Windows 10 partition, and It'd be easier and nice to finally clear out the stuff I haven't used in a long time on my Windows 8.1 partition... because I'm quite low on space.
If... I remember correctly... this was actually the space of my Windows 7 partition. I can't quite remember what exactly I did when put Windows 10 in its place, especially with my Steam folder here? Did I start my Steam downloads from scratch? (Because backing up Steam games can be problematic.) Too long ago to remember.
Windows Insider Program will continue after launch for testing future features and updates.

Some clarification on the Windows 10 issue. Well, supposedly (which has been the case for a while), Microsoft identifies your computer hardware as being registered for having Windows 7/8 on it, if that had been the case. The license and qualification is locked to your specific computer/device. (Having experience activating Windows 8 that came on a cheap Toshiba tablet.... I know that this system ISN'T ALWAYS RELIABLE, but this is how they're doing it. There's also been older reports of this link being broken by a CMOS reset or even some other hardware expansion change... in which you might suddenly be SOL.)
The interesting part is that, you can continue to use Windows 10 on a computer that maybe only had XP or Vista on it IF you remain in the Insider [testing] Program and continue to get their test builds. If you want to stop getting test builds and use the stable Windows 10, your computer hardware would have had to have had Windows 7/8 on it activated and genuine at some point, so that you can get the stable build for free. If it only had XP or Vista on it, then you'll have to pay for Windows 10 to use it stable.
Again, this hardware license link system is a bit worrying to me, because there are potentially things that can cause the hardware license link to break and possibly fuck you over.

I guess I'll be installing Windows 10 over my 8.1 partition... backing up my insane amount of games, including from Steam, from my 10 Preview partition... so that I can delete it and expand my 8.1 partition to the rest of the hard drive, put my backup back in and hope it works, and then probably install onto the preview builds again after that.... This is ridiculous.... and very time consuming.

Nooooo!!!.... Google Play Music radio is now free... ad supported (ok), but it has a skip limit.... which completely ruins it for me.... Also, no listening to any song you want whenever you want... Well... It looks I'm still sticking with Rdio.

If I really can play this like DayZ... or H1Z1... hoo boy. I'm curious just how much of the building interiors (and roofs) you can access. I still don't think we know yet, but supposedly the map could be significantly larger than GTA V in its entirety, maybe even several times larger. If that is accurate... then it could even be larger than Chernarus (DayZ) at that point?...
