My Birthday BEFORE Black Friday/Cyber Monday sucks as well.
& PS+ Subscribers getting discounts at the end of their subscription isn't happening anymore
AND Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Cyber Monday's like a week later this year
My Subscription ends on the 25th because of when I ended up subscribing to it many many years ago

Oh, Derp, you know what I just considered? I had almost $15 in my wallet from previous gift card purchases. Added another month, so.... Dec 25th. Still not great lol, but at least I have more of a chance to get a discount in the future? If you can even still get discounts on PS+ anymore?
Gotta now go stop the autorenawal again probably god damnit, they make that so difficult, is it even possible to stop it on PC anymore or actually only on the console itself?
Well I tried, and you're supposed to be able to by "canceling" which of course is a scary word but it'll go until what you paid for runs out. BUT You still have to jump through the stupid hoops of it taking you to the old Sony account page and then back to the store BUT "Something Went Wrong". I stepped away for a bit and I bet it auto-signed me out but won't tell me that it did because of this fucking mess
Yeah, I had to Manually sign out and sign back in AGAIN FUCKING HELL Think the new "Easy Cancellation" changes won't happen because of Trump? That and the extremely short time of having good Internet Tier information is going to go away again probably too

Oh man, don't get me started on the PS+ BS. My first sub was right when it came out, and subsequently added 3 more subs, 2 for 2 of my kids, and one my other account that I use more for online. The sub was $60, but yeah those deals multiple times a year you could get for $40. It was reasonable and I had them stacked like 2 years out. And yep, mine are all running out this fall, and ever since the new tier system and price increase they have not once offered any kind of discount/deal. So they effectively doubled the price as most people did like us and paid $40, not they are $80 with no discounts ever on offer.
This actually really pisses me off and I'm not one to get mad at Sony or PS for various stuff really. So yeah I've already renewed the 2 for the kids because they were expired and we were wanting to play Battlefield. At least for me I split the cost with them, but I'm just as pissed either way. I'll renew the one I use for online play, and cancel the other original one. I only use the online saves tbh as I download or add games to library and barely play them and can do so on the other account anyways. With the Portal I have less a need to transfer saves from one console to another.
I also agree the cancel instead of just turn off Auto Renew is pretty annoying as well.
No doubt lots of consumer protections will get worse under trump, but of course I assume that'll be the least of his impacts...

Ah, total BS indeed. Unbelievable they don't offer a discount to renew the same level, only to upgrade. Honestly wtf. The one I'm letting expire (on my main account) expires Dec 11 so I won't be able to re-sign up for discount. Which again, fine I guess, I don't really play online with that account anymore. But my other account just renewed. I should have let it expire and then get this deal to sign up again. But it wasn't clear since I had had NOW on that account I had been at Premium (never used it really) and it wasn't clear if it was going to keep my Premium at the Essential price. I think it didn't because I had turned off auto-renew set on Now. So frustrating.
