Ok... So, I didn't really create this thread for any one specific purpose... I kinda just thought it may be nice to get a small community on this form if people are interested. So basically I'd say you can post anything here from pictures of rough drafts, ideas for 3D objects, or even final animations. Oh, and I use blender to model, and am fairly experienced... Blender does take a lot of time to learn, but it's a nice hobby thingy, and I would recommend checking it out. Download from official site: www.blender.org/download/Download from steam: store.steampowered.com/app/365670 Would suggest through steam due to automatic update... And one last thing... LEARN BLENDER IN CYCLES MODE! In my opinion it's much better then blender render, so you should just focus on cycles.  Happy Modeling!!!!!! |

Ok, so honestly, I kinda forgot I made this... But I think I should start showing what I've been up to, and some of my previous work... First of all, I'd like to show you guys my snowman... I kinda just did this for fun, and thought I might animate it eventually... But my first problem was making a snow texture... So that was the first thing I solved... I didn't ever make textures for the eyes, or nose, but I may do that eventually... Also, this is an extremely high quality image (1600 samples according to my notes), so the snow wouldn't look quite as good for an animation (the quality would have to be turned down because of render time)...  Also, I have been working on my Minecraft rig a little bit...  It's not exactly easy to show in a picture... But I have used bones to allow the eyes to be easily moved to view any point I want... Before I was using shape keys, which was a horribly annoying way to animate... Also, I think I shared the Google album I made for blender stuff publicly, so you can check here for future updates... Also, I'm not sure how either of the pictures are gunna come out, so please bare with me if they don't work...  |

Wow that snow texture really does look great. Quite impressive stuff. I like seeing this stuff, I've got no talent or know how to do it!

Thanks Spaceboy  I've basically learned by looking up questions on the internet, and watching other animators... At this point I basically use what I already know, and just combine it to get the desired outcome... When I started with blender I thought there would be just one way to do everything, but honestly there are a lot of different techniques that can get the same outcome... You just need to find what it easiest for you... Once I figured that out I started going away from tutorials, and just used my basic knowledge to make things... A lot of little tricks combined can have an amazing final product... If you ever do try messing with blender just leave a post here... I can mention some of the things that I think are really important to know, and I could just help with any questions... |

I think I finished the minecraft facial rig to a point that I'm happy with...  Here you can see how I can move the eyebrows, change their shape, and move the mouth (open, closed, and in an O shape)... Also, it's not visible in this picture, but I have added a blink function too! So soon I'll have everything I need to easily animate... I've made the same thing over and over again just improving how easy it is to use... And I think this is the best it will get! |

We can't see the last 2 images or whatever you posted here btw. The link has to be a normal image format (ending with a recognized extension) and can't be locked behind your account info if it isn't shared.
Actually... I think so... but I'm not sure why your previous ones appear, but these last 2 don't.

OK, thanks for telling me... It was showing the images for me because I'm in my google account... I had to make them shareable, and then do some other stuff to make them visible... I think you guys can see em now anyway...  |

So... Was messing around, just going for it making an animation... And i noticed this one part... It just looked rather smooth... I'm not sure how well it was captured in the gif... but the hand movement is very realistic looking in the actual video! So... I hope I can get an animation goin!  |

A friend of mine who likes to make some music for YouTube (techno, non lyrical stuff that I cant really get into) Asked me if I would try to help him make a music video... He wanted to know if I could make an alien model, and I told him I'd do my best... And... Its not done... But it's getting somewhere... Anyway... That's more work  ... So I'll probably post back when I finish... Everything is done to his suggestions though...
