TReN IS SO FUCKING GOOD OMG

And since Dreams is a PS+ game this month I almost can't say don't play it.

But I'm not kidding. TReN is SO Good.

But of course it has the expected frustrations and then some. Track switches work based on your camera direction and fiddling with them with a time limit can be a pain because the slightest difference in your camera position can flip what way you have to push your stick. A part of me wishes you could switch them with the d-pad, but it's joystick only. And yes, you control the camera through nearly the whole thing and the track will get in the way of your view... a lot. And sometimes it gets too busy.

Some of the tracks are unnecessarily a little too hard. Even for getting 3 Stars. Though there's a few where the time is a little more forgiving than you expected.
Density of Track features and obstacles can go a little too far.

You also have to wrestle with "the physics of a toy train" which are a little not as forgiving as it should be. You frequently hit spots where it becomes a problem and frustration. And you have to figure out why it's happening, and why and in what way you have to slow down at very specific unfortunate spots on the tracks - something new in each one.

Some of the of the crane hook attachments just do not want to attach for some reason and it'll take many many times to finally grab something. Luckily, any level with a crane or helicopter with a crane hook do not have time limits.

There's at least one really tough magnetic track level that's far denser in obstacle and difficulty (and camera blocking/wrangling) than it should be.

But the obstacle so far that might be the most frustrating are the trap door tracks. They open too frequently, and you have to boost between them or onto them and hope to frickin heck the toy train physics don't send you shattered all over the place (will happen A LOT) or shot into space.

But Holy Hell man, the Aesthetic is SO Good. (It has a setting to turn down the blur effect, I wish I could turn it off, but for some reason you can't).

AND THE MUSIC Holy Hell they went all out. I was surprised to hear a very shockingly similar Mario homage in there and also, One of the Puzzle Level songs is a Dire Straights Sultans Of Swing homage Oh My God.....

It's So Fucking Good.

Also, I think this game might be teasing image import or video import or something? idk. Because there was a very blatant full resolution image of a kid. No idea whose kid. BUT ALSO THE FULL FUCKING PS1 INTRO, WITH THE SOUND INCLUDED OMG
