motherboard.vice.com/read/twitter-is-testing-timelines-that-arent-in-chronological-orderThey're breaking something that wasn't (really) broken. It's an absolute mess now! I have to refresh sometimes 3 times for it to give me newer tweets before the old ones. I realize Twitter is and always has been losing money because they don't know how to make it profitable, but Twitter is a great source of news if you follow the right people. And they're destroying their biggest strength....

So I'm not sure exactly when it was added. They said it would be added. Now you can choose if you want the "best" tweets before newest tweets. (This is different from the, also buggy, "while you were away" tweets, which you can also ask it to show less of below it). The option is in the settings now. I thought it would be opt-out, but mine was actually unchecked. But I bet it is opt-out for new users.

I haven't used twitter. So who do you follow. Do you use it on your phone ot pc? Wouldn't it be annoying to have constant dings or buzzes from all the tweets?

lol. No way in hell you receive notifications for Twitter. Too fast paced for that. But I don't have or use a smart phone anyways. The best way to use twitter, if you're a normal user, is for instant updates or news. If you follow the right accounts, it's a good source of game updates and info. Meaning, specifically the accounts for the game you're interested in, or also the individual developers (the people) of those games. Though, the more you do, the more potential for stuff you don't care about happens. You gotta manage it from there.
Unfortunately, EA has also decided to flood their game twitter accounts with auto-tweets on loop, disguised as actual questions about the game for the follower. They don't care what you respond to them. Just that they hammer it into your head or make sure the game is on your mind at all times. Yet of course people fall for this anyways. The crappy thing is, when it's generally the quickest way to get news for that game, you get EA's auto-spam along with it. Because EA...

Oh god damnit.... Even though the setting has been there for a little while, they just opted me in today...
At least they told me about it... but I'm sure some people will miss the notification for some reason (like refreshing or changing the page after they had accidentally opened twitter or something like that. Who knows.).
