That last part about no fire and forget and multilayer led games is depressing

I wonder if that means no more chances at games like Grow Home.... I wonder if Rayman is done too for now, though it had 2 great games only recently. I'm sure it isn't, but if Beyond Good & Evil 2 is forced to be multiplayer, then I'm done with Ubisoft... (but from what Ancel said recently, it sounds like it still isn't very far along and is probably just in concept stages.... still.) Now if this mostly just actually means that they're not going to be doing yearly games in the same series anymore, then that I'm ok with.... Heck, I'm kind of even on board for a good multiplayer Assassin's Creed, if they can manage to work out lagginess. (It's so strange... it feels like Unity's combat was never built to 2-person combos.... yet it had a ton of multiplayer in it, but being in combat next to another player almost inevitably desyncs you and causes weird things to happen..... ) The thing is... Ubisoft's devs have had an extremely spotty multiplayer quality in their games that have it.... Pretty much their good ones have been Rainbow Six Siege (by far), Watch Dogs' various multiplayer aspects despite its flaws (some concepts were really cool) and I guess The Crew... kind of. And Far Cry co-op I guess, though player animations get desynced a lot there too. The Division I know for certain now that I am definitely not interested in.... Instead of being "DayZ-ish" like we kind of thought it might be.... Turns out it's Destiny set in NYC with realistic people.... that have a billion hitpoints...
