Disney Inifinity cancelled. Avalanche Software closed. NOT related to Avalanche Studios. And with this, Disney is out of the game self-publishing business... wow. Sounds like Disney Interactive (founded in 1988) might be no more... (maybe?) kotaku.com/disney-cancels-disney-infinity-1775846793Hmm... I read that Disney Infinity was actually better than Skylanders (or whatever the competing one was...).

Wow, well I would have been all over Disney Infinity had they just released a game and sold update packs for tie ins that came with characters from each property. Would have easily spent $100s but the stupid toy combo thing, and having to put toys on bases or whatever, just not going to happen and too much of a money grab. I'm thinking if it was like all the LBP stuff that would have been awesome and my son would have loved it. But nope. So frankly it doesn't bother me, but...I have to say I'm upset about Avalanche closing. That Toy Story 3 game is still a favorite of my younger son, had great co-op action and that toy box mode was lots of fun.
Might be fine though if they just license out for good games.
