The video, scree shots etc look pretty cool. Sounds like the idea but amped up. Timing to get depends on a few other games times. Nice that horizon is pushed out. Waiting to see last guardian and tomb raider and of course battlefield will be just out. Curious about mafia 3 too.

Full 18 minute reveal Trailer mmm I'm not too excited about going to California again (and again and again and again), but... I'll most certainly be getting it... if I'm not completely broke. Some notes I got from the full video: They bring up civilian "reactions" and things they're doing again. I'm hoping this time that it doesn't mean that the same exact thing is happening in the same exact spot when you visit spots over and over again like how it did it in the first game. I mean, that was surprisingly dull. Marcus is the new character. He was framed for a crime he didn't commit. woo Showed the obvious things like overly goofy computer alert messages. But one of them could have possibly been a reference to Starship Troopers? (maybe) There's additional parkour now. Obviously worked slightly towards assassin's creed. Sadly, and I guess possibly still unavoidably, transitioning to wall pushes to get over fences and such visually looks very clunky. I wish they could better flow the animations together because the snapping animations still just isn't pleasant.... sigh. He uses balls on either a rope or chains for a melee weapon. You can drive any vehicle with remote control. Some of their guns will have been 3D-printed. No info at all if you get to customize your own or if it's just a "yay 3D printing!..." He's got an RC vehicle with hacking capability. A quadcopter, because of course, which is where the digital coin racing comes in. I hope it goes deeper, in that regard. You can use phone hacking distractions on any NPC and will eventually be able to do it on anyone around you. So.... gimmick unless you're using it on a badguy. This time, not only can you go full stealth, but you can go full hacking if you want to. You can also go non-lethal and he has a non-lethal taser. As much as I like the idea of that stuff, I wonder how much of that I can do before I make myself bored. ... They didn't go into Multiplayer all that much, but... seamless multiplayer might be completely friendly this time? I mean that's cool and what it should have, but I would be severely missing the nefarious tailing missions and such if it doesn't have it... (just don't allow players to set hacking missions on themselves while they sit on top of rooftops....) If the seamless multiplayer is completely co-op only, that'd be a hugely surprising fun part missing.... And what is it with Ubisoft (and Daybreak/SOE) liking overly white mid-day lighting? (and other lighting in general). It's such a shame that they have such crazy high quality textures on the people, but they look completely awful in completely white light. And not even exactly in a fluorescent lighting kind of way. It would also help if they didn't look(/behave) like blank motion-captured puppets as well... Completely blank of everything else except for the recorded movement. Their Dedsec website is once again a Facebook gimmick, but this time has points rewards and raffles and such. If you go to the full rewards page, it's not just PS4. (Also Watch Dogs is $12 right now).

Another video that has some other little details. Yay, invasions are returning. Otherwise, what happened to the claim that they were going to take more risks with this one? I mean, maybe I shouldn't expect the risk that was starting the new IP, but.... all I see here are refinements and obvious stuff. Not risks. Welcome to the new Assassin's Creed.

So, Watch Dogs 2 has a female character directing you over voice comms.... who sounds nearly identical to Bishop, the directing voice in AC: Unity (and apparently Syndicate as well). (IMO, Rebecca's replacement....) Yet, as far as I can find, it's not the same actress in Watch Dogs 2? A part of me is like... Has Ubisoft become so extremely safe and melding things together that apparently it's that easy to find multiple voice actresses that sound almost completely identical?..... How intentional is this? If so, are they going to be teasing players forever? Or is there actually going to be some sort of decent payoff before the end....

I doubt there's any crossover if that's what you're thinking, but the relatively cut and paste if their games lends itself to similarities I suppose.
I've always enjoyed the games mind you and didn't get annoyed/bored as easily as others but I didn't buy Rogue, or Primal, and I'm holding off on WD2 (planning on it), so obviously there is some fatigue there.
I think I'll like WD2, but with the VR and other games it makes sense to wait anyways, and I just don't feel urgency or hype for it.
Fyi getting Mafia 3 for my sons bday and of course I wI'll play it at some point as well!

Spoiler I guess, but apparently in Watch Dogs 2, at some point you're tasked with stealing a video game trailer early. You actually get to see it. Some are wondering if it's an actual Ubisoft game trailer I mean... I guess it could be, but... I wouldn't be surprised if this is nothing more than something to the extent of Abstergo and whatnot. Man, those "digital" effects really suck, don't they..... You'd almost hope video game developers wouldn't go to the extent of being this cheesy/inaccurate as say NCIS or CSI or whatever would. (Except for maybe GTA in a way). Though Ubisoft would just claim it's satirizing it or whatever. But R*/GTA pulls it off just slightly better (even if it is kinda still pretty bad). If it's not really satire, I guess... that's just how mainstream Ubisoft has gotten now? Or at least how mainstream they think they are... or want to be.
