Seamless multiplayer might be turned on as early as this weekend.
Of course, PC players don't even have the game yet, so hopefully things are sorted by then...

1.08 (actually 1.07 on PC) watchdogs.ubisoft.com/watchdogs/en-US/news/152-278691-16/patch-notes-title-update-108First point: "Pull Over Now!" Police Woman will shut up a bit more.... Replay main story missions. Strange that that wasn't there before since this has been a request since FC3... Some (or a lot of) interesting or questionable changes to invading hacker identification. (See link for full list) also thank god side activities/waypoints apparently won't disappear anymore... which they never fixed in the first game. Fixed not being able to get into a car in co-op sometimes. Improved performance and stability. I DOUBT THAT. Improved GPS pathing. PC San Francisco fog might actually work now? Not that I'll get to use it...

Watch Dogs 2 ScoutXpedition DLC is free on PS4 this week.
I'm not sure if it's a PS4 exclusive, or timed exclusive or what.
(Hmm... DLC that only appeared in the Japan/Asia page of Playstation Lifestyle... (or actually nondescript WD2 DLC). What's with their DLC layout of "Japan = all regions," "UK = UK & America," "America = ?" What?.... Everything else about their Store update posts are nice...)

lol And just as I added another 8GB of RAM (16GB), but hadn't tested it yet...
Someone reports a 50% drop in RAM usage and no more stuttering! (lol they should do that for WD1... which obviously isn't going to happen.)
And low ram amount my ass....

Sigh.... so many games from last year and previous that I stopped playing because of... reasons. I can't say if I'll actually get back to them, even if parts of WD2 are quite fun. Not a huge fan of the quite little I saw of the characters (I very barely even started the story), but still. I should have/should play this game some more... than I did anyways.

kotaku.com/watch-dogs-legion-leaks-will-let-you-play-as-any-npc-1835218378So they're doing the Driver: San Francisco thing with Watch Dogs. The first thing that bothered me about Driver: SF was the handling. The second was that warping to any car at anytime that you chose felt off to me. Too out-there. Too freeing. That might sound like a silly complaint, but I still have it. I also don't care much for playing as multiple characters at any time in a game. It's actually not a mechanic that I like. (Not talking about class-based competitive games of course.)
I never launched Watch Dogs 2 after I upgraded to 16GB of RAM, which maybe could have improved my performance issues. (Or maybe it was a DX12 thing?) I never liked the characters very much (before I stopped anyways) and admittedly I didn't get to know them that greatly yet and did not grab me at the start. It was, at the time, new-Ubisoft predictable character design and writing, from the amount I have seen. Also, partially my fault (Only partially.) - This was yet another Ubisoft game where the design of the world map and activities in it did not go properly with how I play open world games. Now, I really rather enjoyed the randomly-generated base heists. But it never tells you that's what they actually are. And, it never gives a permanent indication of which ones you've completed before. After you complete one, the "mission" that takes you do that place disappears... and then you get another one for that exact location (newly generated) just by literally driving down the street. I was kind of actually waiting for an indicator that maybe at some point I'd run out of hand-made versions of those locations and I never did. The other little thing I got to do, besides messing around with Scissor Lifts (or whatever you want to call them) and driving them around SF, was the Uber "Driver: SF" taxi missions. It has nothing to do with Driver: SF, that's just what they call the app. And I got a particularly obnoxious customer. Oh yeah, I also had a crapload of combative moments with other players appearing. You pretty much know exactly when they're going to trigger, which is kind of sad. Except for sometimes the players on recon missions, if they don't make themselves obvious. But you can sometimes find hints of those occurring too.... mainly half of the missions on the map disappearing, damnit, Ubisoft!

Yeah not sure how that will work. WD2 didn't really click for me either. Some stuff was cool but it just seemed to try too hard with the characters. Curious about wd3 but it'll have to sell me on it.
