Not directly related to Google, but looks like good times with the FCC are over as they were told to halt pretty much every major point on their agenda, things like pressuring restraints and pushbacks against large ISPs and whatnot.

WTAF........

Google Fiber is expanding again in Millcreek, UT - They were in Provo, UT long ago.

Near me, no Google, but there's a new Fiber competitor building out in the denser parts of my state, and they're even going to have the town across the river from me done before the end of the year. It's crazy to me seeing how fast they're doing it, after Frontier has done just about absolutely nothing for us - hell even taken away speed, ffs.

The thing is, even though the new provider is currently moving "towards" us, a denser town further in the other direction won the newest "interest" poll, rather than one North of us. But also I am just outside what ISPs would call "dense" service area, and I fear that they might even push through several dense towns to my North (years), even though I'm right frickin' here!

I think Google's become pretty lousy these days, but at least they're expanding Fiber again.
