So despite my intention to not do season passes, the deal for ordering digital on psn is pretty sweet. The game itself is 10% off so $54. And the bundle with the pass is like $76. Just $16 more than buying the disc only from gamestop. And with taxes it's probably more like $12 more...hmmmm

Well I've decided to get digital off of psn. Though I will probably just get the base game for $54. Do the math and the pass would then be about $22. And yes that is a good discount off the "retail price " but again only if you actually buy them!!!! And if nothing else is out that I want to play more than the expansions then no biggie, pay the higher price but at least it's for something you know you want and have the time to enjoy it.
Pretty much decided to not get Arkham Knight straight away either. Looks good and all but I can wait and maybe save some dough...I'm liking my new path, feels good and I think I'll enjoy my games a lot more now.

IGN gave it a 9.3 Gamespot gave it a 10. (Of course remember that they aren't doing decimals anymore). Man, I'm just gonna feel like I'm missing out with not playing the previous games... even if they aren't as great. Mainly starting the story in the middle, witcher dislike doing.

They keep saying that they'll get newbies up to speed in the beginning. They know there will be a lot of players who haven't played the others. I know it's not the same, but I had no problem getting into Skyrim having never played the other ES games. Yeah solid reviews for sure. I'm in and can't wait to just get into it.
I said I went digital and yeah the pricing was better with the discount, but also man, digital is really winning me over in many circumstances. So nice to not have to bother with the disc in and out (since I share the main one I use with my younger son). Plus the ability to switch and play on the other machine upstairs without having to go get a disc is nice. Of course, I still like getting some on disc. Good to have when the connection isn't working to verify your license! I think I'll get JC3 on disc.
Plus I think my older son wants to play Witcher, so digital makes sharing the game 100% easier....
I just hope the management of all the items has a nice easy interface and I don't spend too much time in menus. Oh and I hope that it's easy to save often and anywhere more or less since my gaming sessions are usually pretty short nowadays.

Preload for Witcher was up 5 days ago on GOG's Galaxy client.... woops.
26GB. A little surprising I think. It's hefty, but not 50GB like some of them have been lately. Of course there's a day 1 performance patch coming as well, if it hasn't been released already.

Obviously haven't been able to try it yet, but Nvidia recommends that I turn off Hairworks with my GTX 770... Hell, even a Titan can't handle it great. I'm assuming the performance hit is going to be something similar to the poofy smoke in Black Flag (and Batman). As soon as it loads you can almost hear your computer choke. We'll see if I leave it on or not.

Haha, ok... Don't play this like Herb Picking Simulator 2015. And yes, they do grow back. Don't think you're going to clear an area of them permanently. But now I'm kind of wishing I could turn off the plant icons on the minimap. The only option to do so I think also would turn off enemy icons... which is dumb. And why the heck... isn't there a quicksave key?! How the hell do you not have that in a game like this in 2015? The inventory is kinda flawed in a few ways, unfortunately. Especially since I loaded up on alchemy items. It puts a yellow icon (which you can't see most of the time) on every item you collect, even if you already had some, so it's a little bit blah. I hope they can make some little tweaks to it later.
