Man that was a long show... I forgot to watch Ancestors gameplay on Gamespot afterwards. From the new trailer though, I hope they smooth out animations. It still seems very early, but we don't know how it will end up in the final product.
Scavengers is a Cooperative (semi competitive?) shooter on an arctic/snowy planet.
Atlas is a pirate MMO (with plenty of land it seems) made by the PixArk devs, the kiddy Ark spinoff, not from the actual Ark devs. Again, stuff seems dated in an MMO-y kind of way. I mean, first person in Sea of Thieves kind of was as well, but whatever.
The Pathless from the Abzu devs is really pretty, but.... is it a runner?
Psychonauts 2 trailer. I never completed Psychonauts 1, because even though I usually love those kinds of games, it seems that as with many Tim Schafer games, it's just not for me. But it seemed a little odd to me that there so many human/humanoid characters and very few really wacky characters design-wise (compared to what's in the first game)? but we haven't seen much of it yet of course.
Really hoping I didn't get spoiled too much by that RDR2 song performance. But what I heard of it before I ended up muting it was that it seemed like an end-scene/first credits song...
AND..... The highlight of the show for me:
1. Is the handling identical? (Speed optimization?)
2. It's hard to tell if the track geometry is identical to the original, but it doesn't quite look like it. Too hard to really know for sure. (Track exploits?)
3. Will Online get continued support and fixes? (Will online have clocks and warp balls?)
4. Apparently you can pay to unlock Oxide earlier, but can still unlock him yourself. (Has the difficulty been changed?) (Will Penta be a DLC? Free or paid? & US or Japanese stats? - Probably US.)
We don't know everything that's coming in the beginning DLC, but he said the game is $40, while the "special" version that comes with unlocked Oxide is 60!.... WTF! What is in that shit that would make me pay $20 for it.... They'd better not get me, but they possibly might... and I still won't use that Oxide unlock code.
And I'm kind of sad that this isn't from Vicarious and is instead from yet another of Activision's many many other developers connected to Skylanders and their other stuff (CoD). Oh and, there's several original CTR sound effects played in the trailer, but I hope others aren't annoying, which was a big annoyance in Vicarious' Nitro Kart. And the music?
And this time Switch was announced along with it all for June 21st, but no PC (yet?)
I fear that, with Online, it might be Blizzard app only and not Steam, even though the trilogy is on Steam. Actually, Spyro has no Switch or PC yet? But there's also the cheating worry online.
I actually missed everything between the Crash trailer up to SonicFox, but... apparently it was Ninja, so.. And yes, the Pepe appearance was disappointing.
