While I do like "owning" games either physical or digital. My problem with subscriptions is not so much about ownership, but time/money, availability of "new" games upon release, and then thirdly having old games available "forever" like if you do "own" them. The first 2 being the primary issues to me.

EA is probably doing the same
The crazy part is, if they do this with a human character, they're in the Uncanny Valley - but if they do it with a robot character, we'll be fine?

Ubisoft Forward on a Monday was an interesting choice...

The Live-Action Driver series (2021) you forgot about is no longer happening. But "exciting" stuff is "still happening" with the Driver series. I'm guessing just a re-release of San Francisco, which I didn't like the handling of at the time, but a lot of people loved. I didn't actually care for Driver-mind-hopping either.

I was actually wondering after/while skimming previews of Star Wars Outlaws. It's confirmed(?) that there is some Tsushima influence in Outlaws. But I guess that's actually not surprising like when they peppered in stuff from Witcher and Shadow of Mordor into Odyssey.
Apparently there's also a toggle for the yellow paint markings. One previewer who may not have known (unless its a spot they missed painting) had trouble with a climbable wall that really wasn't obvious, but also that you apparently have to manually grab onto the wall after jumping at it? which they weren't expecting and fell to their death.

Star Wars Outlaws does not have a Texture Quality setting. It's automatic. If you have 4GB of VRAM it randomly* loads, or doesn't load, textures at higher quality, so random textures will look like ass, and there's nothing you can do about it. Also it even forces a minimum of Low Raytracing, which is maybe even crazier.
On a 1650 it's not really going to stay above 30fps entirely.

Had Outlaws on pre-order, but cancelled it cause of middling reviews. I will buy it and play it eventually, but will wait for some of the bugs and AI issues to be patched. At the same time I decided to go ahead and pre-order Astro Bot. Should be good clean fun. Not sure if my son will like it, but I'll definitely enjoy it. Going back and finishing up Astro's playroom now, and will try to do the same with the VR Astro Bot game I never finished lol. Also finally got Dragon's Dogma 2 used, as I just felt like using my GS credits that I was gonna put towards Outlaws. Haven't started that yet but probably will after Astro Bot.
