Death's Door is pretty good. It's I guess an isometric Zelda Diablo with exploration, keys, powers, weapons, an secret locations you can find, so I guess isometric ZeldaMetroidvania. I actually don't play much of these games so it's hard for me to best say which they are. It's a mix of all of them anyways. You also collect and upgrade with souls - honestly the most boring feature about it. You don't lose souls when you die. But it is somewhat souls-like-lite-ish I suppose. But, I'm sure there's more (I've only actually done 1 big boss in the introduction which is surprisingly hard for the intro), but many multiple enemies has been the main thing in this game. And there's lots of hard ambushcombat areas that spawn sequences of many enemies at you. Which are pretty hard. But singular massive bosses seem to be few. I'd guess 4 + the intro boss? idk
My main complaint is that it definitely should have maps. At least even vague maps. Each zone is so samey to itself that it can, in large portions of the zones, be real hard to tell where the heck you are in relation to other things in the zone. Even some of the main objectives can be hard to find/locate, which is rather frustrating.
The zone you start from (and upgrade from, which it does not Tutorialize so I can really see people getting screwed by not knowing where to go upgrade) is extra confusing, too. By lore it's a mess, but it doesn't Actually need to be a mess.... As it fills in, the door for the introductory section, which is now pointless, is more prominent than, well.... the door to the Hub Zone between the other zones. Yes, there's a Hub that spawns doors of the zones you've gone to, but you get to those zones from a zone. And the door to that zone that's supposed to be central is less prominent than the introductory zone door which is now pointless. I know I got confused, and if you were going back to this game after a time, holy fuck. You'd have no clue where to go. Or what you've done. Cause there's no maps. And not only is there no maps there's no tally of what you've collected in the zones, besides the very biggest things and it doesn't even tell you where they are, or what zone.
The music's also weirdly upbeat for its tone.

Ok, the Dungeon was more linear than I thought. But you definitely don't want to stop in the middle and forget where you're going. Luckily I remembered, mostly.
It's weird. It's really long on a singular path, gets a checkpoint, and then does a loop back around to that checkpoint, then proceeds to the Witch boss.
Looks like there's 3 biggest bosses and the introductory boss.
Getting kind of annoyed that I've now completed a third of the game and still only have 4 hitpoints... and 1/4 shards to obtain another hitpoint. The majority of the game is mass amounts of enemies. The granular upgrades you pay for with souls feel only useful for taking down bosses faster. But I'm still at the same 4 hitpoints 1/3rd of the way through the game. And in this area, the singular checkpoint felt very lacking. Not finding enough seeds to activate the few health regen spots either.

Ok, it turns out I was actually pretty much 2/3rds of the way through the game. Which makes sense because I completed most of 2 zones without doing their bosses. The Frog's "Dungeon" frickin sucked though. To the point where I actually recommend running past most of the enemies. It's also so samey that you can't even tell when you've opened a shortcut back to where you've already been. Not helped by ALL the enemies respawning every time you die. Even the ambushes this time, which usually don't respawn. It's also not giving me any seeds (1) to use the health regen locations. The Frog boss scared me for a bit, but actually it was because it's hard to figure out what to do to hit him in his first stage. A little bit in his 2nd/Final stage as well. But once you figure it out it's actually really easy. His "Dungeon" was fucking stupid, though.
I found 1 more shard out of 4 which will get me 1 more hitpoint. woo.... (or maybe it'll give me more than 1).
The fact that it doesn't tell you what you've found/collected in each zone is infuriating.

The open political commentary in video games these last few years though....

Ok, Christ. The 3rd main boss is really difficult, at least if you don't get the last set of micro-upgrades from souls, which are really expensive each. But I actually managed to beat the 3rd boss without it. It has constant attacks. I had to use the fastest weapon (weakest damage) to regain the strongest power, and use it at the opportune times. Even getting the melee hits on it to charge your Power is really hard.
Well I beat that boss, but guess what. THERE'S NOT 1, BUT 2 MORE BOSSES YOU CAN ACCESS/FIGHT IMMEDIATELY AFTER IT! So that's a total of 6 big Bosses. The Introductory Boss, the 3 Bosses you're supposed to go after, and then 2 More after that. The first of the 2 final ones was actually easier than the 3rd of the 3. And it's actually pretty cool.
But for the Final Final Boss, I'm going to go searching for things I missed first, and get the final upgrades. Hopefully the stuff I find will cut down the grinding enough. But I'm still fucking pissed that it doesn't tell you where things are, what zones have what, and no maps. So I don't fucking know what's left where.

So apparently you can upgrade your powers at very well hidden locations... that are also blocked by having other powers. That and their bosses are so hard or healthsponges (and I still don't have more than 4 hitpoints, but did get 1 more power point), that you won't be upgrading your powers until you've gotten the last micro-upgrades purchased with souls. By that/this point you're at (seemingly?) the end of the game?
Getting this far has gotten me almost none of the trophies.

I found another Power upgrade location. This time for the Bomb. Pretty useless upgrade, though. This boss was a lot easier than the one for the Arrow, which I have not beaten yet. The power upgrades might all be in the Cemetery, Not sure.

Beat the Arrow upgrade boss. Idk if the Bomb upgrade also increased the bomb strength or not. It didn't say that, but it is what it said for the Arrow upgrade.

God damn, the game just keeps getting harder and harder, instead of easier with upgrades. At least in terms of what health the bosses/enemies have apparently

What's confusing me is that, by the UI, it looks like there's only 4 Powers. But there's still at least 1 other thing that I keep seeing in various places that I still can't access/use.

Oh the Fire upgrade is hidden in the tombs between the Graveyard and the Witch's place.

FINALLY got a 4th shard for an extra hitpoint.
But a bit a go I also got another shard towards another Power point. So apparently there's somehow 7 more Shrines/Shards I have to find.

Oh, I didn't realize this. You can call back the moving platforms in the Witch's dungeon by standing next to their "docks".
You can also hit them with a power (Needed to get to a Shrine)

The Grapple upgrade boss is behind a gate towards/in the 3rd zone.
