This does seem pretty cool. Do you know of it has wheel support? I just pulled out my wheel for the first time in a year for driveclub and it was fun. Would love to use it for some thing like this.

I'm not even sure. The series didn't even get cockpit view until the semi-sequels. I don't even know if they backported First Person to the original game, like they have with other features.

Wow that's crazy. I bought snowrunner but haven't played it much. Also bought Dakar Desert Rally with expectations around the free roam which hasn't been patched in yet. Fun racing so far though force feedback needs to be patched, wheel works but without ffb, the wheel feels worse than just using a controller.

That's what I heard, but I thought they patched in a bunch of Wheel FFB? Have you played recently? Though maybe that only released for PC idk

Dakar Rally finally got a "Major" "Fall" Update. Also SnowRunner vehicles and other vehicle packs.
Reviews are horrible on PC as apparently it's still very crashy and buggy on PC AND still has nearly no Wheel support (or supported wheels or something)
and the handling is just arcade

I haven't tried the Dakar update. It was decent racing fun. Never tried free roam with my son or anything. I plan to go back to it. Wheel support was patched and worked well. But with getting The Crew Motorfest which looks 10x better and frankly more fun I haven't been back to Dakar in awhile.
