Do we really need this when Black Mesa exists? (and is finally almost done... maybe).

(Speaking of which, I didn't realize or maybe forgot that they're charging for the Black Mesa Early Access/Release on Steam. I was surprised that I didn't "own" it, as well as I can't seem to find any files I had downloaded for the mod that needed to be installed into steam or something. I do wonder if they're sitting in my Steam folder somewhere, even though they aren't showing up in Steam. Nothing in my Windows Downloads folder? Ok?.... Because I did play through the entire thing except for Xen that we're still waiting for.)

But man is that thing huge. I guess makes sense if it's related to Pimax upgrades, but damn.

The Vive Pro just had new external sensors for its release, but it's hard to find people who... don't not want them - kind of/rather understandably.

I'm still unsure if the Vive would let me use it in my available space. If it does, it would be extremely close to what it requests for a minimum, last time I checked.

Apparently since October, Steam/Valve is dropping their share/take from their flat 33% to 33% up until $10 million in sales (including DLC) - at which they drop to 25% and then 20% after $50 million.

Quote/remark from Game Informer:

It seems fairly plain to see that this move is meant to keep larger publishers, like Bethesda or Ubisoft, from moving their operations off of Steam. By and large, indie developers are not going to see revenue in excess of $10 million, so the standard model is a ditch with walls too high to crawl out from. With Bethesda moving games like Fallout 76 off Steam so they can keep more of the sale than Steam allows, though, this might entice them to return. Still, I think it would be better for the market if it were simply a flat rate for all games, but I imagine the prospect of making less money is not appetizing to anyone.
