Steam now lets modders/workshop creators to charge money for their mods. (if the game developer allows it).
That's pretty nuts.
24 hour refund policy.

Gabe said the amount of email complaints alone cost them $1 million while the mods only had a chance to bring in $10,000 so far. "As for the claims that it this was stupidly greedy, no, it was stupidly stupid."
Like their other things, I think they should have tweaked it a bit and let it settle down. But that significant amount of complaints (and cost) could have gone on for a while.

Steam Controller ($50), Steam Link ($50), and 2 Steam Machines starting at $500 are up for pre-order. store.steampowered.com/hardwareAlienware still refuses to say what GPU theirs have. SYBER has a 750 [1GB] [i3] ($500), a 960 [2GB] [i5] ($750), and a 980 [4GB] [i7] ($1,420) - 500GB/1TB/1TB respectively. Pricewise... mmm.... I don't know.... i3/1GB GPU is really pushing the low end... for $100 more than PS4. 2GB GPU for $750 is... maybe a little scary for me because I'm not sure if we're staying under 2GB of VRAM anymore. But again, your problem is that it's still about twice as much as a PS4... The $1,420 machine is hardly a discount, if at all... We might also be pushing 4GB of VRAM, especially with 4K coming. Of course the GPU above that (this generation) was only just announced and would push the price up even more. At least it's got 16GB of RAM and the perhaps overkill CPU. With all of them, you are not competing with consoles price-to-performancewise. That's not happening here. A little sad I guess. Sony didn't even sell their console at a loss for very long at all this time, especially compared to the PS3. Not to mention, did Steam not really go strict on an upradeablity requirement here? I don't know for sure. At those prices, you better damn well be able to upgrade the GPU.

I agree, price to performance is truly the problem with these steam machines in my view.
