Full Vision VR/AR Summit Keynote here. I missed it. I think I'll watch it later.

The Vision summit keynote was pretty good. For the most part it was nerdy people genuinely excited about VR and AR. I'm afraid that in the end, the guy's new projections for how big VR and AR will be in the end might be wrong, but we'll see.
Though the keynote might have gotten a little bit nonsensical with the guy from NASA in some aspects (and he was pretty hype-y) and rather pretentious with the movie guy after him.

This is what happens when you post in a Steam beta announcement... Luckily, it doesn't take much to clear it... Also, That feeling when several of your non-Steam game shortcuts disappear from your favorites and you have no idea what they were... Hmm... Looks like I was actually able to find them still in my shortcuts.vdf file. I gotta re-create them though. Who knows what it'll do to the file. Of course this probably happened with the "fix" for shortcuts not deleting until restart... But I didn't delete these!... I hope there aren't more missing. For me, Minecraft, Battlefield Hardline (though not BF4), Star Wars Battlefront, and Witcher 3 (from GOG) all went missing (and some other stuff I don't need anymore). Ugh... and at least a couple of those need special configuration to get working with Steam again... Oh hey, and on a side note I find out while working on this - This month's On the House game from Origin is Criterion's NFS: Most Wanted. It was actually pretty decent. EDIT: OMG THEY WERE HIDDEN! WHAT?! HOW!!!!?? ....

Messing around with the Vive and Lighthouse sensors in a 27 foot space
Also, a look behind the scenes of the voice acting of the Aperture Science narrator in the VR demo.
I haven't been a fan of VNN, but this guy from VNN seems more professional. I doubt it, but I'm curious if the other guy left after his latest flub... (though it looks like there's actually more than 2 guys.

Oooh... Steam bundles will now be discounted based on games/items in the bundle you already own. I'm not sure if this means they are doing away with giving you additional copies to gift (maybe as an option?). idk Really though... I very rarely end up getting bundles. Sadly, I'm not one to have enough time to get games later down the line...

SteamVR Developer Roundtable Really good talks with a bunch of the VR game devs. (They're kinda lengthy though) Hmm... One of the devs brought up... Is there a good way to indicate to the player that they're getting hit (like with a bullet) with the current set of hardware?... And he said "HMD (Head Mounted Display) Haptics?"... It didn't go any farther from there, but dang.... What about that?.... I mean you can get haptic "vibration" in the controllers, but the headset doesn't have that. Vibrating your hands won't make as much sense in VR as how well it works in normal gaming. Camera shake might just be problematic as well. Until people are wearing things on their body... I'd think that maybe the headset would be the best place to put vibrations like that.... but it doesn't have it, so...
