I'm not really sure why, but Steam just added the ability for game devs to use a new Steam storefront for in-game items, along with the already existing community marketplace and trade system. First to use it is Rust. store.steampowered.com/itemstore/252490/I'm not even sure the actual way of getting to these stores because Kotaku sucks at source links... I'd assume this just takes some load of of developers and, instead of making and in-game store UI, they can just make a button to open the Steam web browser to the store.

Steam Machines are probably launching in a few days. Here's hoping there's some other announcement as well. But they might have been generally too busy with everything they've been doing with hardware. Gaben knows.

Can't see these things gaining any traction whatsoever. I th8nking the ides was good, but I can't see how the direction they took makes any sense.

Steam sales will no longer have daily/hourly further discounted prices. Items will be at their "most competitive price" for the duration of the Steam sale. O.O

Hmm... That isn't what I was expecting (if... that's what it is... ). But I know the old Vita has this issue. So far I don't think they have (though I don't know), but I wonder if LG is working on this issue for their OLED TVs...
