Jc3 was fun enough but a major let down to how I felt about Jc2, I'm thinking a good wait and see on this especially woth so much good stuff coming out this fall. I'm hoping that it is great though.

The memories of the JC2 demo... and then the memories of the 1000+ multiplayer mod for a couple weeks.... was... still amazing. Multiplayer server events like that are so extremely rare still, though it's also kind of one of those things where, once you've experience it once, the next time if ever, might not blow you out of the water (almost). But they're still rare enough that they maybe still can.
The end of the Guild Wars 2 beta was the other moment I've had like that. I was just awestruck throughout the entire thing... (especially how beautiful the damned thing was, especially with that many players running around at night) even if it kind of got tiresome at some parts due to how many straight hours in went for in 1 day.
And I feel like the the JC2 multiplayer mod developers blew it by deciding that after the massive server test was over, they would completely shut down their own servers, so then every available server would be run by other fans and players (and I never figured out why they actually made that decision. Maybe they were actually just tired, or maybe the cost? They didn't get hired by Avalanche that early, did they?... and Incredibly, JC4 STILL won't have multiplayer?!!!! HOW!!!!). But you were never ever going to have a server 1000+ people on it because of the removal of the official server and those divides.
And it seemed to me like that test went amazingly well, though that made me have to wonder why the sync code kind of got downgraded towards the end and afterwards it seemed like? idk.
