lol wtf? The movie has John Goodman and Sylvester Stallone in it... also Paul Giamatti, Bella Thorne, and Rosario Dawson I'm expecting the movie to be family friendly and a little lame because the ACiT writer wrote the movie. However, I don't think he wrote the reboot game, so maybe they'll go back to edgier stuff. Also, somebody on Youtube mentioned that they might have brought back the composer from the original series for the game instead of the Future series composer. If that's actually true, that's awesome, but I haven't found any proof.

!!! When is E3 again? Is it Thanksgiving already?... Holy shit look at all those scenes from the first game.... They really are remaking it.  (+additions) The color tones are so dark and deep though... (And I don't have a good TV for that...  ) Why.... Why preorder bonus, Insomniac..... T_T Especially when it's a classic weapon from the classic game.... I'm disappointed that the writing is probably gonna be a bit more family friendly since it's so closely linked to the movie. The Future trilogy was already more tame than the originals. Edit: ! 8 minutes of gameplay! 2 levels. The first part isn't the end of it. Aww, did they remove the bridges from the Blargian Snagglebeast battle because the playtesters in the original didn't know what the bridges were for? I watched the commentary from one of the original devs on that podcast channel and that's what he said about the first game. Also, the return of scientists! And the original Infobot design.  God I would love if they got Neil Flynn (Scrubs janitor) to play the plumber again... but I'll bet they'll stay with the plumber voice from the Future series. Or a new voice again... I'm still not sure that I care for the darker colors or lighting, but again... my display sucks. |

Apparently R&C is running at 60FPS (supposedly 1080p, but we know how they like to fudge that). But woah, it's only $40? That... could be a little worrying (but, in this case, I don't really think it is). It's a little odd though... I mean, they have to be looking to continue the series with the movie and 1 new (reboot) game at the start of a new console generation, right? (also with Sly, and god damn hopefully a new Jak... though hints of Crash are still stronger). The game being $40 would make it seem like it was just a 1-shot, but those other factors really override it I think. Though... it could also be Sony wanting to make sure as many people as possible get into the (multiple?) new series as possible. You know, I just really hope they don't cut the game short with this smaller price tag... (though, perhaps... it wasn't really all that long of a game in the first place... and might not have the insane bolt count barrier that the original games had. ) Ugh... The thing that sucks about Youtube 60fps... is that I read that it cuts down the bitrate to match the 30FPS bandwidth amount... which cuts the 60fps video quality in half... gross. |

I think the pricing is smart and doesn't mean it's a one off. The fact that at some level it is a remake if it was 60 bucks there would be huge backlash.

I'm gonna miss Drek's original voice... and his completely green eyes, but this one's good too... though maybe a bit less iconic. Still no mention of Neil Flynn, who was the original voice of the plumber... You don't see the plumber in there anywhere, do you?... And is that Talwyn? That's not her original voice I don't think... and even though it was 1 word, I don't like the sound of the new one.  And she didn't even appear until the Future series... but same goes for the purple alien species. No sign of Angela or Sasha of course. Pretty sure they're gone for good. But what is up with Drek using robots?... What happened to Thugs-4-Less? Weren't they making a return in the game? Robots that looked like that were Emperor Percival Tachyon's thing... (Or Nefarious) If Nefarious and Lawrence don't make an appearance, I'm gonna be pissed... Same goes for the Plumber (especially in the game for him). They've gotta have Al in there somewhere as well... right?... Oh, but at least the Sheepinator is there... |

Paris Games Week game trailer Nefarious!!! Pokitaru! Wait... is the purple guy with the tusks in the Hawaiian shirt the guy from Pokitaru, the island paradise planet? Looks kinda derpy, rather than a sleezy travel salesman. Though it might have just been what he was looking at. And wasn't he green.... Also, somebody pointed out that the song at the very end of the video sounds very much like the old soundtrack... A little revamped, but I'm glad they're attempting to actually go for a bit of the old music rather than just the new Future style stuff. It's so cool that they're designing parts of the level, particularly where you land your ship, exactly like the original game, and then expanding into their own thing in other parts. Though I'm sure there's gonna be some removed spots that I'll miss from the original game. |
