Man, I bought into the PS4 Pro cause it would help PSVR be better and upscale checkerboard 4K. 4K TVs were just hitting mass adoption. Not really seeing the need for PS5 Pro. I have no "need" for another machine though like I did when the 4 Pro was released, so I really don't see me getting one, or spending the cash to upgrade from our current launch versions. I suppose if PSVR2 was going to really benefit, but not many big VR games being announced right now outside of the Metro game. Never say never and all, but current plan is to skip it. I probably don't have an upgraded enough TV to benefit like from VRR or whatever.

I'm a little confused by the instructions for PS+ Sharing from a PS5 to a PS4. Besides wondering if it'll continue to work to a different house for the PS4 The support page seems to indicate "Activating a Primary PS4" but do you actually want to have it set as Primary if the PS5 is the Primary (says nothing abt PS5 Primary)? Do I have to make the other person's account a Child account?

Ok, it's actually my sister. What sucks is her internet may be ass. And even on mine RDR2 would take over 5hrs to download and I'm sure WAAAY more on hers and I'm afraid it will fail.
Also I have CTR on both my PS5 and PS4. Can she play CTR with me on the PS4 on her profile while I'm playing CTR on the PS5 even while it's my purchased game? And don't some games share a save across profiles even if they shouldn't?

My experience is you can log into PS4 and PS5 using the same account, but I've never tried going online with the same account ( assume it wouldn't work but who knows). But for copies of games that got both versions, we are able to have 3 people use the same "copy". For instance, Riders Republic has cross gen play and one copy got 3 of us online together. One person plays on their account on my "primary" PS4, someone else plays on their account on my "Primary" or console sharing PS5, and then I play on another PS5 logged into my account.

Huh? CTR kicked either of us out when the other launched it. So she had to purchase it again again (she also had it on XBOX). BUT Online seemed to work with just my PS+ on the PS4. I also showed her she can install the over 300 PS+ games I collected, but has to install them from my account then can use hers? Don't know if she ever will. She's also still got The Last Guardian and LBP3 on there (minus servers rip  ). I uninstalled GTA V for space but there's a chance I didn't need to because she bought RDR2 which forced us to uninstall the Disc version, which I was wondering about. Probably not gonna play GTA V again anyways and good to free the space. Now the question of how many years it'll take for her to download RDR2 at her place (oh btw, her purchasing CTR let her use the installed files of the digital CTR I already had on there, I don't know if same "edition" made a difference. So no download) We also ran into the hurt that PS4 doesn't do (other?) bluetooth headsets, which was insane even back then. So..... How's she going to listen to RDR2 properly with just that little wired headset that came with the PS4 to talk to me and TV speakers. You need more than TV speakers for RDR2. Oh yeah, controllers having speakers, but not a mic (which the PS5 controller now has) was still stupid.
OH YEAH We were doing this testing on one screen, switching sources. We did a race around Crash Cove in CTR where she followed behind me playing on the same screen. Of course she intentionally blasted past me at the end 
I'm wondering if I'll be able to watch her play RDR2 by her streaming it to me. Who knows if her wifi can do that. And PS4's recorded video quality is ass anyways
Oh no I'm going to have to remember to mute my mic now that I'm actually using it again because I've had it set to mute by default |

Huh, we're finding the launching of shared games to be buggy [and stupid because it shouldn't exist]
She launched the Ratchet Remaster on my account - It kicked me from CTR on my system.
Then it might have gotten weirdly stuck still thinking Ratchet was running but eventually got it to say it wasn't running on my profile.
Then she launched Ratchet on her profile and it said it was running on both our profiles.
Then I launched CTR and.... She got a message but it didn't stop her from playing Ratchet? [she didn't read it]
ugh, weird and stupid
