And uh oh.... It looks like they're bringing the mobile version and/or redevoloping the mobile version for Windows 10 PC. Dumping Java. What the hell does that do to mods?? Beta launching on the 29th. Free for those who already own the PC version. $10 for those who don't and buy it in beta (kinda like the original Minecraft) and I'd assume it'll be $20 when it comes out of beta. PC will be able to play with the Xbox and mobile versions. I... don't know if that includes 360 because it had tiny worlds because of the RAM limitation, but mobile got expanded since they get more ram now, though I do not know if it gets as big as PC... which is of course insanely massive.

But again... Isn't this going to completely make previous mods not work, since they're dumping Java? And seriously fuck them if they start charging for skins on PC.

Some clarification...

Minecraft Win10 is C++, based on Pocket Edition, is not another version of Minecraft/not replacing the java version
No mods for now
Controller support
Xbox Live not required: 7-player limit is from Pocket Edition, no dedicated server currently
Free download for players who own the current PC version (java)
Linux support for Minecraft is not being dropped

I've already messed around with redstone so much there isn't much left to make (unless you go into command blocks, which isn't really redstone)

There's also at least 1 new animal being added, if you haven't already seen it yet.
