I mean, this is constant every day in well over half of every Casual matchmade session. I was an admin of a Community server for nearly 10 years. Valve decided that they needed to take away players from all community servers because they were unable to keep the flow of players away from abusive ad-driven servers, or servers that had paid perks. Eventually, long after they started their own matchmaker, they cut the life support feed they had left for Community servers off completely. Even to the ones that were not abusive to their potential players. The ones who tried their best to keep out as much legitimate toxicity as possible.
Now, Valve matchmaking is (pretty much) the only main place left where you can get proper TF2 play where the players haven't been emptied out. But Valve hasn't even come close to taking the right measures to an extent that harshly punishes toxicity quickly or encourages less toxicity. The vocal people in over half of all matches are not pleasant. Valve has done nothing to counter chat spam. And toxic groups of players take over servers.
And then there's the aimbotters on top of it.
Something needs to be done, but I've been saying that for years.

TF2 is 11 years old today. No blog post from the team (yet).
Last year had posts for the dates for both TF2's 10th and TF1's 21st birthdays.
October 16th Jungle Inferno was announced.

Scream fortress (X) is early this year. www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=45049They didn't bother making a special page for it, however, they're "giving" us 5 Halloween community maps, new cases (of course), 2 new (Valve) taunts, and 5 contracts, probably 1 for each map. But "all Halloween Contracts have been reset"? This is the stuff for the old Halloween maps. Goes through Nov 14th, as usual though. But damn, that's probably a lot of stuff to complete/re-complete. and omg They fixed sticky bombs doing damage through walls. (Does this include grates? But it better include the last Upward RED spawn.) (Not official, except for the added medal, but apparently there's a Season 1 of a fan/community run Dodgeball (Pyro Dodgeball) tournament happening sometime. Wow.... I didn't even know if that wasn't completely dead or not.)

WIP 2Fort in Parkitect. Shockingly similar, but I don't know if an interior is possible.
Sigh... I remember trying to recreate other game worlds in my park sims. I wish I still would, or would still even play park sims, but I just have other games that take up all the time.....
Heck, the indie devs seem to be making good stuff when it comes to this, but I'm stuck with the AAA stuff I play.

I haven't posted every update here, but this was the longest time without even a minor update - 63 Days.
But it's been almost a year and a half since the last major update - a little less since the update to the matchmaking.
You can't help but think "RIP Heavy update?"... But it was announced. But then again, the 1 other time they announced something early for TF2 - the moon map and Cactus Canyon, they never finished them.

Oh also, they removed Sketchek's name from Axetinguisher's function description, but it keeps the speedboost on kill.
Sketchek is the TF2 streamer who recently faked his death. Not kidding...

Holy shit, and another update 2 days later.... I am extremely interested to see if the votekicking abuse is lessened by whatever they've done. Let me guess, they just raised the requirement by 1 vote. And thank frickin god they finally fixed people getting back into matches they were kicked from. Aimbotters were loving that. Took way too long though.
