Why don't you like the kill tickets? Isn't that what was in BF4 and all others?

Yes it was and it sucked. It supported solo CoD players, which most of them are, not giving a fuck about the teammates plus, even worse, long range snipers - which are now a lot more useless than previous games, yet people still do it. Conquest is not TDM. That's what Domination is for (in BF1). Point being, BF3 and BF4 had little pushing incentive to get players to capture bases instead of either running around at the same base or 2, camping completely, or long range sniping. And now that we finally had some reasonable incentive to have points capped, they rip it away.....
Also, we might also be back to people yelling "DON'T SPAWN!" in chat at the end of the rounds... depending on how they do it.

ah, I see. I can see that happening, I guess I'm usually just too busy trying to capture flags or repair vehicles etc. to notice too much. Also probably PC is way more competitive. My K/D is usually quite horrid but i do ok in points because I try to do the objectives and help teammates etc.

Don't know how long this'll last, but somebody's released BF2 and 2142 for free with their own servers. Supposedly a few hundred playing (for now).

Played a few matches of conquest with my son and had a blast. I love the maps and feel of everything. I also played one match of Operations with my sin just watching along and I really liked it too. Can't wait for more.

I've been playing a lot of it all week. It's pretty fun, when it's not bullshit (which... is pretty often), but whatever. I'm still undecided on how balanced I think the Conquest desert fortress on the beach map feels. That's the one I'm most conflicted about. It feels like most of the time, the upper team of the map can dominate it easily by holding the 2 points in the fort and D and shooting down on the rest, and I have yet to see the giant war ship be used effectively on that map. However, I have seen 1 where the lower team won just barely, but I'm still very undecided what needs to be captured for them? D can be taken, but fairly easily taken back by the upper team, while the 2 fort caps can be very difficult to take for the lower team, especially since you generally don't have a decent amount of support running in there. Most of the time, the lower team is being held down at the 2 lower villages directly at the bottom of the hill and getting pounded from both D and the fort, and not even really being able to hold the 2nd village down there. I'm still unsure how the lower team can consistently win on that map. That and the smaller 3-point desert village one where the train is a huge deal can be pretty annoying, especially when the team now defending against the train is never given a single vehicle spawn the entire time the train is there for some reason.... I'm undecided on how much I like or dislike the existence of the behemoths or whatever, however, there's a pretty large gap between current team tickets where it won't even show up unless it exceeds that gap. Then, if you're on the losing team, you're just disappointed lol. But does it feel fair or fun when a team wins because of the behemoth? Will eventually most games be won with a behemoth on some maps when idiots aren't driving it? Or will behemoths get taken out quickly all the time? (which is extremely difficult to do on that small desert map). I don't know... I can also get kind of annoyed with that green grass map with the giant fortress right in the middle along the river. Especially when your losing team overextends, which can happen on most maps (I find that really annoying). But that fortress one, I'm not sure how much I like. In a way, that fortress is kinda cool, however, I might feel that it's layout is kinda one-sided based on how most people play - meaning charging in right through their front door. The building that the capture point is in is attached to 1 team's side, while the other team gets an open courtyard to cross or go around. And, in that case, it seems like the best strategy for 1 team is to charge in the center, which is how must people play, because they're almost immediately in the building, while the other team has can just possibly be a little more effective with flanking, but most people charge in through the front door or front windows, or wherever the holding team is currently standing. I prefer flanking, but the 1 side that might have a chance at it, of course you don't get enough flanking support to generally do anything, while flanking from the team that has the capture point building on their side is just about useless because of the travel time and open areas and courtyard. It's probably best for them to just take the early flank on the right (which is actually still pretty much on their side), but... in my last game that I played, I actually found that someone had closed the gate, I don't know how to do that yet. I suspect that it's on the roof, because it's not in the corners inside the gate. It took me a while to actually find it, but it's actually kinda hard to find the ladder (or ladders). They're in the pathways that go along the wall of open arches, or whatever the hell it would be called. The ladder isn't up against a wall and can be a little hard to notice. Anyways, I actually had 2 game-halting bugs in the first frickin' campaign... 1 where you have to escort the tank. You are then requested to repair it, but guess what! I had already traded in my wrench for another one of the many tools it has laying around throughout the level..... and in this game, the tool you get rid of doesn't actually drop on the ground, like in previous games. It frickin' disappears!.... So I had to restart the segment. And then! After that, there's this muddy hill to a fort that you have to go up with a base of enemies that you can sneak into and take out. Then the tanks start showing up. The last tank gets stuck on the wall just out-frickin-side of the available area. You can easily destroy it where it is, but you can go 10 minutes aimlessly wandering around, like a lot of people have, wondering why the fuck the tank your escorting won't move up. And because this generation of Dice, similar to BF3 & 4, have decided that it's ok that you can't hear tanks from a distance, which you could always hear in BC2!.... UGH that pisses me off..... But yeah, many people had that same tank get stuck on the wall having them dumbfoundedly wondering around, unknowing. .... The campaign could've been so much more interesting than it was.... but again it just ended up being a supersoldier at a shooting gallery in most cases, a lot of which were just short romps through the multiplayer maps. sigh... Though I do have a funny story. Well horses have been significantly nerfed since the beta, though now seem to be noticeably unreliable in some disappointing ways. Seems like roadkills are extremely inconsistent now, where they pretty much used to happen all the time. (actually that just reminds me of another hilarious story in a moment). Well anyways, me and an enemy horse rider meet up and the outer base way out in the desert (which is actually important to keep btw) (and... why the hell did they have to flip around some of the base letters since the beta just to make it extremely confusing? Why?.....) Anyways, we meet up at G and start swiping at eachother, extremely unreliably, with our swords for a good amount of time, which of course is just silly because it's just us galloping around in circles for a stupid amount of time. Well, I end up getting caught inside the 6-foot wall around the building there, while he runs up to me on the other side. We start, again, swiping at eachother over (or perhaps through) the wall idiotically with our swords. Neither of us are making contact with eachother, think we might have a chance to. Because obstacle (and ground) collision in this game is just as horrible as it's always been - probably worse. Anyways, swiping at eachother with swords right next to eachother not doing anything. I then toss my grenade, it goes behind him. He tosses his grenade, it drops the the ground and kills him. Aww that whole thing was just so dumb..... Then... the one roadkills reminded me about. Apparently the heavy tanks, or tank fortresses or whatever, can't reasonably run you over... IF YOU'RE USING A FRICKIN' MORTAR! Like for fucks sake! I was just laughing my ass off sitting in plain open sight as I laid a last ditch mortar to use on the tank as it was clearly going to kill me, right?... As it runs me over 6 times, minimum... not making any contact with me as I pass right through it....... Was it behaving like I was prone or something? Because even that rarely worked in the beta (though there was a chance). Eventually he was finally like "fuck this" and shot me...

Imagine my surprise when a recent addition to my Steam Friends list gets wrecked by a sniper on a horse on Highlight Reel....
I gotta read the names in these clips more often... Don't know if I'm in there anywhere.
