GOD DAMNIT! First time I’ve had a thunderstorm at the WHY trees in Roanoke and nothing struck me while using the Viking gear. Did I not do something I needed to? Did I need to look/aim straight up at the right time?
But apparently you can “get”(?) it to happen even without the Viking stuff. The same guy did it with a rifle out.

Wow, I had no idea there was so much variation in the mission where Arthur fights Micah after fleeing the cave, even if it doesn't really matter. reddead.fandom.com/wiki/Red_Dead_Redemption_(mission)There's even a route where you stab and blind one of Micah's eyes. Is that still seen properly when you're up on the snowy mountain in the Epilogue as John? (though apparently his corpse has the scar either way). Looking at the Youtube thumbnails he does have a scar and missing eye when you see him again the mountain - if you did blind his eye.
Also I'm feeling more strange that Dutch continues with Micah even after this (played it the same way I did the first time), but of course I forget or don't notice things, particularly from the first playthrough.

A 14th "13" clock has been found in the Osman Grove house - the family who died by their fireplace fumes.
(Plus the Watch.) The 2 in the Blackwater General Store are stuck at 12, so maybe they don't count? (maybe making the Watch #13) (I wouldn't 100% count them out for certain, though.)
Also this functioning clock in Osman Grove is not visible without Photo Mode. I'm now curious if pausing time with Photo Mode has something to do with this stuff.

I forgot and didn't realize that Uncle's voice in 2 is not actually the same actor as the first game. Also, his original RDR2 voice actor died during development and they kept his singing moments, so yes, Uncle's voice in 2 is different for speaking and singing. John O'Creagh was the original RDR2's voice actor's / singer's name, so O'Creagh's Run, the lake in the NE with the Veteran you go fishing with living next to it, is named after him.
(Also Mount Hagan, the snowing mountain South of frozen Lake Isabella where you hunt down Micah, is named after Landon Ricketts' actor, Ross Hagen, the old gunslinger from the first game.)
But here's the really strange thing. Uncle's voice actor from the first game, "Spider", supposedly Robert Madison, is somehow amazingly nearly completely unknown. But he was a background character in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie and a "crazy guy" on ER, 2 other things and nothing else, supposedly. Seems nuts to me that somebody who voiced such a character in such a major game, even the first one, is that.... I dare say small-time, or unknown? Is he even still alive? (RDR in 2010 was his last known role).

SHIT! The Viking Comb is one of the items that disappears forever if you picked it up as Arthur and switched to John. Hopefully it isn't actually needed for something. Though I think I do still have in my 100% save, though that save had a Meteorite go missing.
WHATEVER, IT'S NOT LIKE ANYONE IS ACTUALLY GOING TO MAKE ANY MORE PROGRESS IN ANY OF THESE MYSTERIES!

Another Out-of-Bounds picture from my trip long ago. I think this is South of Flat Iron Lake, so East of New Austin, since everything South of New Austin is desert? Pretty sure I never actually went to those trees, though, because the corner where you "drop" into Guarma is South of here, to the Right?

So I'm still trying to cause the lightning strike at the Roanoke Ridge trees because I still haven't successfully had it happen. Lightning storms are infuriatingly rare when you actually want them. A couple sources keep claiming that it has to be at 10pm (Back to the Future). And that a way to do it is that triggering the Native Burial Site storm with a fire bottle on the other fucking side of the map THEN running to the Obelisk across the stream (which states in Latin "The Hour Flees, Don't Be Late") will cause the storm to be permanent. (If it actually does freeze anything, it only maybe keeps the weather the same because it doesn't stop time... apparently, as far as it still seems.)
Here's the problem. The Burial Site storm isn't 100% reliable for unknown reasons and you can only carry 8 fire bottles AND the damned Fence to buy more is half way across the map! It's so hard to figure out what breaks the Burial Site storm. If you leave the site too early before it fully builds up, it seems to die instantly. Or possibly it's a timing thing with when you trigger it? And/Or maybe there's a cooldown timer? But anyways, on my 2nd attempt (and only (deceptively) promising attempt..... after a trip across the map for a full set of bottles) after triggering it then riding to the Obelisk, THE STORM STAYED............... all the fucking way until I rode down into Roanoke Valley (other side of map) and it fucking ended, BECAUSE OF COURSE IT DID. And I forgot to buy more bottles on the way back and ran out of the rest of them at mostly failed attempts at a storm (again don't know exactly why it fails). A part of it makes you wonder if some sort of sacrifice at the burial site might help thing? But aren't Native Americans, including in this game, known for not killing wastefully? I also want to know if I can get a damned lightning strike up at the Robot up in the snow. (And it's still baffling why the Pagan Ritual Site is so close by. Nobody's figured that one out at all. You get a Pagan Mask there, but nobody's figured out anything further that does anything there.)
FRUSTRATED

Somebody's found a bunch of Princess IKZ's dialogue. But nothing (still existing?) says anything beyond what anyone else would say while riding a horse with (specifically) Arthur. Stuff like "why are you shooting"? Or "why are you so close/staring?" She seems acquainted with Arthur pretty well, which seems rather odd. Nearly to the point that she may have joined the camp. But that makes it very much seem like it was cut.
god damnit, everything found (while still neat) is all pointless and seemingly confirms more that it was stuff that was just cut.
(And another thing I gotta say is?.... How the hell did nobody else get TB after Arthur got it so easily from Mr. Downes? (a person I frickin' forgot about) HMMMM)??

I don't think anybody's ever figured these out. I don't know if anybody's listed where all known ones are either. Apparently this one's at Caliga Hall. I know there's another couple letters in the Grizzly Cabin hidden on the North side of Mount Shann. And.... I think maybe there's more? Is there one at Flatneck Station? How the hell do you possibly connect them to anything?

I knew about the Ancient Necklace long time ago. I had no idea the Blind Man “directed” you to it.
Beyond that, nobody knows….

LOOOL…. I just talked to this guy about the Van Horn Princess, Princess IKZ. This guy’s North of Elysian Pool. I heard about him, but I don’t think I ever talked to him, or I forgot.

Here's another potentially obscure stranger. Maybe I did this one in my first playthrough? I'm not certain though, but not in this playthrough.
According to a new reddit post, there's a chance she'll looking in your window when you wake up at the Valentine hotel? That's not mentioned on the wiki page.
