But the treasure found there (by one of the maps which is in the obelisk) is found under 7. While the map drawing also shows that the sun peaks the mountain at 6, which might be a bit of a stretch, too.
Oh yeah, there's also another maybe sus point that the mountain shadow might point at further down the mountain with nothing known at it.
Why do none of these things in this general direction actually line up, though?

Oh hey, there's a cave I didn't know about near Bacchus Bridge, the one you blow up, and it has one of the cheat codes, which I haven't bothered using so I haven't looked ALL of them up.
This video is for Online, though.
Speaking of Bacchus, both that bridge and inaccessible freight station are Bacchus, and The Old Bacchus Place is the tiny little shack just before the waterfall all all the frickin way South of Thieves Landing and was also in the first game. Who's Bacchus? And I was gonna say, didn't we meet/see the crazy grave robber there in the first game? Seth. And... yeah but that meeting with him was actually in Undead Nightmare.
I think seeing the cave giant sitting with the animals was supposed to be on the flowery hill with the Canadian Geese. The binocs on the Loft point right there.
I wish I hadn't missed The Strange Man in the first game.
I also didn't know / forgot the same Nun was in the first one.
I think there's stuff about "balance" with the religions in GTA and I have had some wonder about what may be able to be triggered if your honor is directly center in RDR2.
Also the Fortune Teller machine that you can find wrecked in Tall Trees appears in the GTA Online Casino update, which apparently was already 2 years ago....
(Yeah, what is up with that Falconer that we never find?)

I've been trying to connect a lot of / more Back to the Future references to the game. Who knows how much of it there was supposed to be or even is. HUGE list of possibilities that is for sure.
However, somebody (who has also played Online and knows more about the GTA mysteries) thinks the lightning is linked to "7" and this:
7 is referenced at the end of the treasure trail that starts at the Obelisk and ends at the sundial, but the Obelisk is more at 8 for some reason. I also wonder if the other locations along that treasure trail have any relevance. It goes Obelisk, Tiny Church, Hill Home, the battlefield trenches (surprised not that church?), and then 7 at the sundial.

I actually found this (as well) myself while being curious about Back to the Future trilogy references while (currently) at the train station in Rhodes. (I also got an NPC there to say Great Scott, but nobody knows further than that. As well as the Roanoke Trees 10:04 lightning strike (once?))
Anyways, maybe not Back to the Future related, but perhaps still Francis Sinclair - He has a Roman pillar on his mural - BUT also the Sun Worshipper dude in New Austin.
(Who only appears 11 known times? Or maybe it is 12, but the wiki is missing one.)
While messing around at Rhodes Bank (also looking Back to the Future suspicious) - The Clock has a Sun on it AND - Even though the hands behave normally - The Numbers are ALMOST set up like a sundial. It even has a rod sticking straight out. EXCEPT...... The Bank is facing NE..... It gets a sun shadow for a few hours in the morning, It's the Wrong way anyways.... and then it just screws up because it's not angled right with the Sun.
And Even Further Context.... The Colossus of Rhodes was a GIANT Statue of Helios (who of course the Sun Worshiper mentions) overlooking the water of Rhodes Greece (that collapsed in an earthquake). (It was apparently or supposedly naked Helios wearing a spike crown (/sun) like The Statue of Liberty.
There's also that statue pillar of a Veteran there at the Rhodes intersection.
But this Bank area looks VERY Back to the Future.
(There's even electrical wires in front of the bank (and trees blocked by the Butcher), but idk if it ever gets hit by lightning.... like the Roanoke trees at 10:04)

At least in the game files, there's (or was) apparently also a connection between/with Princess IKZ and the lady that the 2 ridiculous brothers are after.
