Well this has definitely thrown me for a loop, at least for the moment. This is at the Rhodes train station. He says it points right to Moonstone Pond between 6-7am.
(Though looks to me more like O'Creagh's Run, but Moonstone Pond is way too small to visually see here, just to its SW.)
Several others say it's a glitch of the cigarette smoke of somebody on the train.

Apparently if you Threaten Flaco Hernandez's gang instead of Defusing them, they won't attack you and will let you pass. After you duel him they'll all flee.
Is that like the only time in the whole game where Threatening is the better result?
This mound in Illinois reminds me of the odd unnatural looking hill SE of Emerald Ranch that's easy to just not notice. But I've wondered around it quite a few times and haven't found anything, even if the rock tucked behind it looks suspicious.
So it's now seeming more apparent that it was TRUE that the developer that made the horrific GTA Trilogy remaster was planned to be given GTA IV and RDR1 to remaster.
That is now cancelled.

The cave Hermit has been said to be called "Chiel F. J. Hale" from what I've been reading on Reddit. F.J. Hale (minus the Chiel) is an author of many fantasy novels and a huge body of western novels as well. One of his books, 'The Pillar of Night' in the Cenotaph Road series features such an obelisk on the cover. From what I understand, in that series a form of trans dimensional warp can be achieved by laying down at the grave of a long dead hero under a full moon, right at midnight. It's a long shot, and I haven't 100% anything yet but I'll be trying it soon.
I tried going to Arthur's grave at midnight. Nothing happened for me, but I'm also not 100%.
Something interesting to note, is that when you stand there, you face/line up with the obelisk.
Wait, what? I thought the grave had you facing North-ish or NW. And it's over half way across the main map and you obviously wouldn't see the obelisk. (Not very much can see the obelisk actually)
