Don't use DX12 in the BFV beta on PC.
Also, it sounds like a bug with revive will not be fixed during the beta.
and lol

www.battlefield.com/news/what-we-learned-from-the-battlefield-5-open-beta They talk about player visibility (very vaguely). The odd way they did it is that enemy players, indoors, (particularly distant) were not shadowed... meaning they are lit up like they are outdoors. I mean, yeah, visibility is nice, but damn does that look odd and weird... I just takes you out of it for those moments, particularly while sniping. Here's my issue through the beta system. Not necessarily what was talked about here, but the information from the enemy who killed you switches away way too quick. Like, you can't even remember to see what weapon they killed you with, or what class they were for that matter. Oh yeah, they reminded me in here that weapons literally have upgrades like "bullets travel X% faster" or do "X% more damage". God damnit, DICE.....

Same kind of. I played on both PS4 and PC. We're probably never really going to get back to a BC2 feel on console, since the want the CoD crowd and for the game to be more aggressive than the old days (even if there's ways in which this game somewhat holds that back at times, more than BF1 bothered to. But it's the snap aim assist that controller users get when scoping/aiming that bothers me the most. That definitely supports CoD-like play. And it turns out that, even for my aging computer, PC was the better experience for me. Not only did it look a hell of a lot better as well as clearer, compared to the non-Pro PS4, but I had really little performance issues, especially compared to the city maps of BF1. Only pretty rare/ occasional sudden halts just as I died, but mostly little problem in general, though maybe some vehicle effects or building destruction (that I was in) causing a bit of a struggle, but not really extremely harshly. Sadly, controller rumble that I wanted from playing the console version was surprisingly, not only weak, but also almost felt delayed after the shot? I'm glad I remembered to pay attention to it, but still found out that it was sad. At least you can adjust joystick rotation acceleration to your liking. That's a good thing.
I tried out the bomber plane a little bit. (I don't know what "simplified" vs "non-simplified" flight controls means as it gives no description. I had it non-simplified.) But even though I was on a normal server, I wanted to keep to first person view. How exactly are you supposed to know, or even train how to drop bombs at the right time with no view of your bombs from first person? I never had any successes and have no idea when I should have been dropping them. But as has been the case with Battlefield for a long time now, air vehicles are very very very rarely ever a threat in the game(s) anymore. Man I miss, taking down all those choppers in BC2, even if they could get real annoying as hell sometimes. That tracking missile was oh-so powerful though, yet so fun to use. But often times, a lot of those around with knowledgeable players meant the chopper really couldn't do much of anything in those matches, unless they had like 2 repairers inside (the transport chopper), but even then.
I miss it, dang it!
I know BC is 10 years old this year, but you want to start bettin' that we might get a BC2 re-release in 2 years? I wonder if they'd do it. (Vietnam hopefully as well, but I do believe that there was a (or another) way of getting under a Vietnam map in boats that remained unfixed forever.)
It won't reach the old/original height of popularity for that long (particularly for those on console who find how slow the movement speed is), but it'd still be pretty strong.

I played BF1 a couple times recently, getting excited for V, if nothing more than new maps. Not that I'm even tired of these tbh. BF is always spectacular visually.

I believe he was the SEED guy who left recently.
Also, the article on this new endeavor sounds like he wants to create The Oasis, though no VR is mention I don't think.
sigh. Will we actually get to that point?
