Sound
From the crack of weapon fire to the rumbling destruction of a V1 rocket, the sound effects in this shooter are the genre standard bearer. Its only weakness is location-based sound; I wish it were easier to hear the approaching footsteps of enemies

Not like I've kept saying this since BF3, but mostly with tanks.

I never used a controller on foot in BF4 (because it still felt like BF3 before more settings were added - plus it causing other problems on PC) and I never realized it actually had aim assist.

I actually saw someone complaining that people will hide in corners because their aim assist no longer works. LOL, go back to CoD.... I saw videos of this "strategy" (exploit) all the time from CoD.

I'm curious as to the state of BFV now, as I haven't played it since beta. They're also doing TTK tweaks and... unfortunately splitting the community and playlists again, which I don't think has ever really been such a good thing.

Actually, from more recent posts, it looks like "tracking" and slowdown are still there, along with their settings. IMO, tracking is just a lesser form of "auto rotation" and is bullshit. Slowdown I don't think is much of an issue and you can attempt to tweak it how you like, or even off. There have been different variations of slowdown settings and trying to make it feel the same between different scope zooms, but idk if I ever figured it out or wrapped my head around that entirely when trying to get it/them to feel good to me. But again, tracking should not exist.

The name of the enemy that has killed a player is now shown in the game world when the player has died. This highlights the killer and helps players understand who killed them and from where, especially in crowded situations.

The death experience has improved with the addition of a camera that now follows and zooms towards the killer. This will allow players to understand what killed them and the position of the killer.

The accuracy of the visual representation of incoming bullets for other players has been improved. Tracers should now properly appear to consistently appear from the shooter and should be clearer when the victim is looking directly at the shooter.

Tweaks were made to the UI directional damage indicator to more accurately point towards the enemy damaging the player.

I hope along with this, if they haven't already, made the time of you seeing who killed you longer. In the beta you couldn't even remember to check what weapon they were using before it disappeared to respawn. It was real quick.

More settings... Man, there's a lot too it, you just almost get lost. Or at least it's been hard to follow on Twitter. Could be not as confusing from the in-game descriptions.
