LOL! I finally heard Nolan's version of your Ghost (previously known as Dinklebot). It's so high pitched... I don't think I've ever heard Nolan do that voice before... It's weird... and (currently) amusingly disappointing... The closest thing I can think of is he sounds like the fish guy from Hellboy. The higher-pitched hyper intelligent nerd. That... That shifts the tone of the game, or at least the character, so much....
And I don't like it.... It doesn't fit. ....
Ugh, what is this game now? Serious with a little bit of occasional sarcastic comedy from the gruff guys, or a story with with a nerdy tagalong just because?
I can't believe Kotaku thought Nolan's Ghost was better...
Maybe in some instances it fits "better" but in a more cliche cringeworthy way. The very stereotypical nerdy guy who's scared to be there. I don't think that makes it better, I think it makes it worse.

Secret objective(s) being put inside the Daily Heroic Story missions. Apparently they aren't easy. Not to mention, if you die in these, you start the entire mission over again. But you get an exotic out of them.
Destiny's DLC plan is changing. Emotes and probably Sparrow Skins, Emblems, Shaders, etc microtransactions.
That's what has now been officially announced (well, actually just the emotes, but I'm sure they'll expand it). But also it's rumored that actual game content, at least the smaller ones, will be free.
Now, Destiny is actually successful... so this isn't dropping down to this model in a panic like a lot of other MMOs have done. What this will improve though is not having people who PvP get locked to just the old maps. Same would go for PvE, but PvP is more obvious.
(I just wish the new map rotations actually included the old maps... at all or a lot more often instead of there pretty much being 2 separate playlists. Hell they even brought the only 2 large maps back, but I think I've only ever seen them in the old-map playlist. Playing the same 3-4 maps over and over again, especially when you paid for ALL of them, is no fun....)
Today there was an icon or whatever for tkk on my game list ready to download.. Not sure how it got there. It was in the first spot . That map rotation issue would definitely bother me too.
The Destiny Halloween Event started today. Of course this time it's got a load of quests.
The quests are from Eva, the Shader/Emblem lady. The first one you get is to collect some candy from a bunch of the characters in the Tower. Eris Morn gives you a box of raisins, which is of no help in collecting candy, but it doesn't matter. And Cayde-6 is wearing an Eris Morn mask.
The rest of the quests beyond that seem to basically be bounties, however, they are very specific tasks that also have to be done while wearing the designated mask. You are given random masks from Eva by collecting candy from enemies or in the Crucible. The thing is, even though they are very specific, they aren't all that good at describing what you need to do to complete it... unless you remember the name of everything in the game so far. Or look it up. The other thing is, it looks like I've got a couple tasks that require me to do or have something that I probably should have done by now since The Taken King came out. Like, I'm supposed to have the sword that everybody has. I have yet to be directed on how to get it, or at least haven't started the quest to go get it because some of the other quests are taking extremely long (which they're already looking into shortening as stated in a blog update).
Oh and uh... mixing the new masks with the old pumpkin, which has made a return from last year doesn't really work...
The masks also have a chance of being Legendary rather than Rare. My first one was actually Legendary. But you can also sometimes get "glue" which can upgrade a Rare mask to Legendary. The glue upgrade states something about being permanent, like maybe we get to keep the masks if they're Legendary? I'm not sure yet. The Aetheon mask is pretty badass.
However, the masks show no visible stats, and yes, they are a replacement for a helmet, not placed over the stats of your helmet. So I've got no clue what their stats are other than it hugely dropping my light level waaaay down. Like 30-40 points. Which is odd and unfortunate.
Also noticed that if you get affected by a Taken, not sure what exactly, the pumpkin will become visible in first person if you're running forwards. It's not supposed to and takes up most of your view.
