Liberation too. Cool. Sure hope 0s4 games carry to ps5 and beyond..then I'd more inclined to grab these types of remakes over time.

Seems probably likely, but you just can't tell with Sony for sure right now.
And I still don't see "full cloud only" systems going well any time soon.

And that's why I don't want this visible in Assassin's Creed. I want games to feel less game-ified, not more. I already grew tired of clearly leveled enemies with MMOs (and Destiny). I want to be more immersed, not less. And have actually interesting fights, rather than identical fights with larger bullet sponges.

Oh man.... I was wondering if they were going to do this, because this test has been so damn long (>3 months). I don't know who can still get in to the Google Project Stream test, but they're now giving us Odyssey for free to keep (and download) if we play an hour or more on Project Stream between today and January 15th. Me, I think I just crossed Lvl 40 out of (currently) 70, and probably in just about the slowest way possible. And I've played a lot the last few months, even with my breaks from it. I mean, I'm satisfied that I get to keep it after all this "work", but holy hell, how do I play Read Dead?....
Well I'm hoping Uplay's save game syncing works (UNLIKE BLACK FLAG). Achievements and paid-for DLC are kept, but unspent Helix credits are not. It's not like you should be buying Helix credits anyways, but why is keeping those an issue? I say bs there.

Nice. It really is the time commitment on these games are crazy. I'd be interested in odyssey but rdr2 is awesome so I'm not complaining

It had been rumored for a really long time, but they actually bothered to do it.
They "remastered" Assassin's Creed III.
I really didn't think they would. Hell, did they re-release Rogue before this because nobody played it? Liberation as well. And was Rogue the first game that was in-between systems or something? I've lost track of those.
I was here when I was 100%ing III. Generally my favorite Assassin and setting. I forget which it was called for this game, but the "Initiates" website or whatever for that game, they could never get completely fixed, as was the case for every game they tried it for. Hell, it was more frickin' granular than even III was. I could not get the 1 last thing to 100% III on the website, even though I had 100% in the game, because the website tracked something that I either missed in a section of the game that you can't return to, or because the detection for it broke. [Long Shrug] Yeah, they couldn't get that website working when they tried it for Unity either. (I think that's what it was. I've lost it.).

I did pick up Odyssey in a sale over the holidays and just started it this week. Playing as Kassandra. Great character so far - just had the bit where she meets "Cyclops" - the bit with the eye - lol. Anyways, the sale was like $50 for the game + season pass so I will get the AC3 remaster. I know it gets some crap, but I really did enjoy 3 quite a bit - I too liked Connor a lot, hard to say who my favorite is - Kassandra is pretty awesome but I'm early in the game. Ezio of course, Bayek was cool after I gave him longer hair like in the beginning, oh and I really liked Evie. Not sure if I'll replay it or not. I might dig into Liberation again. Played it on the Vita, never played the PS3 version, so I would be interested in seeing how it is on the big screen. Odyssey will take some time for sure. I do always like these AC games, but with Origins and this one I didn't mind waiting for a sale. I almost finished Origins, but I never quite did.
Rogue I waited and waited for a PS4 release and finally broke down bought a used PS3 copy a year or so ago. Pretty good game.

I've gotten to like the forest/swamp of Liberation twice, which is still sitting in my Vita, because my 64GB (Sony) memory card died years ago and my Cloud Saving had stopped working after it had been filled, with no notification or warning. Hell, I'm still not sure it works or is enabled for me and those games since the size has been increased (and had been increased again yesterday).
So yeah, I've gotten to the forest swamp twice in that game but just stop and don't go back in because that game is sooo goddamn slow. Really shockingly slow, and that's without the goddamn dress. On top of that is the framerate, so it's one of those games where I think your movement was intentionally limited to be so ridiculously slow because it can't render the world around you any faster. I've played more than one game like that. Bad balance in design, imo.
I still haven't bothered to play it while overclocking my Vita yet, now that we can do that.

Odyssey finally showed up in my Uplay.
I'm not going to bother installing it right now. But my stats shown in Uplay are empty (except for a few Uplay Challenges, which is I guess what they call them now.)
Actually, even the email said the stats wouldn't transfer, which is kind of odd. But I hope my save would still sync correctly if I were to install it.
