Playstation Access talking about the info they were able to get on No Man's Sky. It's got little bits of info that we haven't heard yet. I watched parts of the E3 footage over and over again, and the more I did and noticed, the more excited I got for it. The sound of the creatures he saw (which is also procedurally or randomly generated) cracked me up. Their animations too. I wonder just how much the Sentinals will be an issue. I know not every planet will have them, but how troublesome will they be on average when gathering resources? And according to this video, you can shoot nearby an attacking creature to scare it, instead of killing it which would attract the Sentinals, but I hope there are aggressive creatures that won't be scared by the gun.

The meditative comment seems about right. Still on the fence if I'd enjoy it even though I've really liked that type of game if you consider Journey and Flower of that nature. But those were more object linear level based, with a goal I knew I could achieve.
Of course this is another game that I wonder if my younger son could enjoy roaming in without too much hard combat though. Lately I'm not sure what he will like. I didn't end up getting Wander due to bad reviews and starting as a tree he might have been a bit bored.

Yeah, I saw that Wander was a real mess. Wasn't surprised though. Kind of expected it. Looked like Sony just picked an "early access" game and threw it on there, without admitting that that's what it was.

Holy shit! No Man's sky is this month's IGN's game of the month (starting the 6th) AND the official STEAM community page is up!! O.O
I would link, but I'm on my Vita right now. (and the stupid post button is falling off the page... :[ ) (float causes issues, but I can't get margin to work properly...)

18 minutes of gameplay (with more to come!) Here's the hub.... I think.... with the new stuff being added below the E3 video. But it doesn't say when the next one will be.... www.ign.com/videos/2015/07/06/no-mans-sky-18-minutes-of-uninterrupted-gameplay-ign-firstAgain, I used Youtube because IGN's player is still awful... Though you can download the video if you want a less crappy bitrate (hopefully). I'm surprised at how instantly you anger the Sentinals, if you shoot an animal. I really wonder if there will be any animals who won't be afraid of the gun. And... I wonder how I'm going to balance how I move through this game. Since it doesn't seem to show distances to POIs... or compass directions. Also... The OCD part of me wants to go to every planet/star along a line between my start and the center of the galaxy... but then I would never get there. ? ... And cool that there's moons too.
