Pre-orders for the soundtrack is up. You can listen to the theme that we all know here: soundcloud.com/65daysofstatic/supermoonhttps%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F257812662www.lacedrecords.com/collections/no-mans-skyActually not sure I'm quite a fan of how strongly they made the vocal cut in (but I guess it makes more sense when you're not completely focused on it, like the trailers), but most of the other stuff I like, though it does get pretty noisy later on. Also, something I missed from a Gamespot article, you can sleep in front of those monoliths that teach you alien languages to regain health. Here's one thing I'm still unclear about... How easy is it to get all the materials you need without triggering a wanted level? I mean I'm not much for trading, but if harvesting always triggers a wanted level and the sentinals.... what do I do? Maybe it doesn't all the time. Hopefully I'll figure it out.

Ohhh maannn Surprise!! IGN has another month(?) of No Man's Sky! And a new 20+ minute gameplay session with Sean showing I think all of the stuff we read about last month and even a bit more! Even the NPC! (But of course IGN's video player still sucks...) www.ign.com/videos/2016/04/11/no-mans-sky-21-minutes-of-new-gameplay-ign-firstThat plant testicle lol. And I'm glad to see some insect-like animals. Though I was hoping more would be hostile. Also, they've given color to the stars shown in the galactic map. I don't know for sure, but I don't think it's actual star color nor resource abundance, but faction color? I'm not sure. Also it looks like they have also added a line from star to star towards the center of the galaxy (though I'm sure you can deviate where ever you feel like it), though I'm not so sure how I feel about the line being there... but I'll probably just be ok with it. Also, it only appears if you don't have a star selected with your cursor? I wonder how many people won't even realize that it's there for a really long time.

I have to admit some of that sounds quite awesome but I'm just not sold, not sure if the condensed story is just more interesting and fun than actually doing it in my short gaming sessions you know?

A bit of a disappointingly short video from IGN showing some combat against the flying defensive droids www.ign.com/videos/2016/04/18/no-mans-sky-surviving-on-a-subzero-planetAlso, it seems like Sean was cut off when he was about to say something about being high up on a mountain on a cold planet... hmm... But Playstation (not even Playstation Access ) has a 15 minute video. It's mostly the same demo we saw in the last IGN video, but then he lets the guy play and be a major jerk on the planet... Oh and apparently there is a melee button. Edit: And Sean's got a fever now.

Day cycle in 1 minute (spoiler I guess) www.ign.com/videos/2016/04/26/no-mans-sky-see-a-24-hour-time-lapse-in-1-minute-ign-firstIt looks fantastic. (Though of course with the spinning particles distracting you from it...) Though there's 2 ways I can look at how the foliage will work. Somehow on these sci-fi alien worlds, especially at normal speeds, 100% stationary trees seem to work pretty well (even if it technically might not make sense depending on the planets atmosphere). However, a timelapse with no little rapid leaf movement at all seems a little odd with these trees because we're used to seeing ones like that move. The grass is also stationary. So you can either see as - it works in this sci-fi universe, or as still that maybe they should move just a little bit. It depends on the planet's atmosphere/environment and tree type as to how much that'll be the case.

Full interview with Sean Murray. The entire thing is about Sean and his history. But beware, Sean has bad/loud audio. The "preview" that IGN gave us starts after 33:00 and goes to around 56:00. Before that is talk about how he got into programming as a kid and getting a job at Criterion and stuff about Burnout 3. Near the end Sean reveals that both Elon Musk and Spielberg called him and they (the team) hung out with both of them. They even saw I think it was Elon's SpaceX factory or something. Also, apparently Elon made a simple game in 1984 which you can actually play here: blastar-1984.appspot.com/And Sean still won't/can't confirm that he will be officially supporting VR in No Man's sky, but he really likes VR.
