Hmm... I actually didn't read that one. I'll probably be fine with it in the end, but... I don't know how I feel about it having set paths right now... hmm.
Otherwise, the other stuff that I read I'm happy about.
They're still talking galaxies AND universe... Galaxies have been made "up to 10x larger." Saying that kinda makes it sound like there are many. But at first I was wondering if there were 3 galaxies... And now we have 3 paths... "Early choices have a significant impact." You mean just choosing a galaxy? But it says "choices..." We're just gonna have to wait and see. Are galaxies really going to be drastically different from each other? And the website does actually state traveling towards the center of a galaxy rather than the universe.

Lol I broke down and preordered..that 20% discount from Amazon is enticing, plus the upgraded ship or whatever, but honestly the patch notes helped sell it to me.
Also maybe my young son can enjoy flying around to planets ir walking looking at stuff.. the game is beautiful.
I got annoyed at a stealth mission in AC Freedom Cry. .Just didn't want to deal with normal "old" game design. Stripped of gear, enemies go from being oblivious to me killing yards away to all out warfare, can't sabotage the stupid alarm unless unseen..why? Just cause I'm noticed I can't slice the damn bell cord, and of course the earlier fight by the front gate raided no questions. .argh.
Played some jc3, the frame rate not great but livable. . Almost bit on the dlc though just for more variety, then I opted for something really different which is NMS...

Man I'm so wishy washy on this game...I may send it back to amazon unopened and save $50. I'm reading some early reviews and the constant need to mine for fuel and suit armor sounds like it might kill the joy for me. Also no manual saves might be a real problem with my short gaming sessions... Man if there was infinite fuel, and an at on board your ship to explore fast and easy on the ground I'd be in for sure..I just don't know if I can handle all the mining and trading and survival stuff just to cruise around to planets and do some low atmosphere fly bys of various terrains. What to do?  ? |

There can always be updates. I wouldn't be too too surprised if they added some sort of cheat mode maybe... though you might have to have a separate offline mode save for it.
I'm just saying, Is it Friday yet.....

Well I've decided to return it. I'll see if I can check it out from the library to at least see what it's about. I just realized reading the early reviews that the parts about mining and needing resources and of course the no manual save will kill it for me. I literally rarely play for more than 40 minutes at a time. No time to get lost and explore. And the refining minerals for fuel...I can't even be fussed to craft bombs and oil my swords in The Witcher... Which, btw I played a bit today and it made me yearn for more so I'm going to do that for now and see how it goes. Maybe NMS will be in my PS4 at some point, but I could save the money now...
Really can't wait to hear your impressions.
